Today's sneak peek is the Justrite Congrats Vintage Labels 3 & 7 Rubber Stamp Set. As the title implies it co-ordinates with Justrite Vintage Labels 3 Die Set and Justrite Vintage Labels 7 Die Set. It contains a gorgeous frame which really does all the work for you on your card, a couple of corners and a bunch of sentiments. You can, of course, cut the frame out using larger dies for a different look. To have a look at the Justrite blog entry for this stamp set, click here.
Here's today's card -
The background on this one is in 2 sections. I started by stamping the top section with the Justrite Stitched Circles Background using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder.
I ran the bottom section through the Grand Calibur with Sue's Quilted Flower Embossing Folder (with the stamped section hanging out of the
machine).
I wrapped a piece of Silver Silky Crush Ribbon around the centre to hide the join in the backgrounds.
I stamped the frame using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Justrite Vintage Labels 3 Die. I stamped the sentiment, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using a Justrite Vintage Labels 7 Die. You could, of course, stamp the sentiment within the frame instead of separately.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Silver Silky Crush Ribbon and added a White Crystal Sparkler.
I assembled the card as shown adding a White Mini Swirl, some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Beautiful Julia

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful - my type of card. I love the background - great idea to stamp one half and emboss the other. Think this is definitely one to try.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia. I love this one : ) The stamps and the embossing folder are all gorgeous. Have a great time tomorrow, I will be watching both shows, hopefully. Have a safe journey. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julia, whilst I like the design I do not like the stamp, It seems Congrats is becoming the norm on stamps and die sentiments which I think is so slovenly. What is wrong with proper English. Best wishes Jackie D
ReplyDeleteA soft and elegant card,

What a beautiful classy card... Stunning Jxxx
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty Julia love it. Thank you love June xxx
ReplyDeleteI understand the comments about the abbreviated Congratulations but the full word would not fit within the frame so I imagine that's why it's like that. Please don't be put off by this one sentiment. The stamp set is a really lovely one with lots more un-abbreviated sentiments. Just click on the link at the start of the post to go and have a look at the Justrite blog entry for the set to see the other sentiments.

Lovely card love the colours used xx hazel
ReplyDeleteLove the split background and stamps. The abbreviation doesn't bother me, and youngsters use that term, so would be ideal for them xx

Silver and White - cannot go wrong - lovely card and another non-messy background!!! Still not a fan of the crush ribbon you have used - but that is fine, I find your cards make me think about what to buy and what not to buy. Will try and email you tomorrow during a show or two - hope they are still going ahead.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Oh so classy, love it. Looking forward to the shows
