Sneak Peek - Rose Postcard

There are a number of background stamps on Thursday's ODW. Today's card features a background that can stand alone as a feature on a card. To have a look at the gorgeous makes on the Justrite Blog, click here.

Here's today's card -

The background, I simply ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Asian Weave Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the Justrite Rose Postcard Background using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Shell Pink and Raisin Adirondack Dye Ink Pads. I also used Cosmic Shimmer Soft Moss Vintage Ink Spray Mist on the leaves and Cosmic Shimmer Mulberry Mist Ink Spray Mist mixed with a little Angel Gold Sparkle from the Precious Sparkle Pigment Set around the edges of the butterfly wings.

I cut it out using Spellbinders Grand Rectangles and inked through the die with Shell Pink. I cut the next size up in the Grand Rectangles, again inking through the die with Shell Pink.

I stamped the Rose Postcard again and just coloured in the largest flower and the butterfly. I cut them out, shaped them and added them on top of the complete image.

 I tied a bow using Black Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Vintage Bronze Button.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Vanilla PVA around the edges.
