As promised, here's a sneak peek from tomorrow's shows. An easy peasy card with a new stamp, one of the new Cosmic Shimmer Ink Spray Mists and a new mask. Lots of new goodies on the shows!
For the background, I inked through the Abstract Mask with Stormy Sky Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. Now for a technique pinched from Sue - I spritzed a little Cosmic Shimmer Ink Spray Mist in Riviera Blue into the corner of a plastic tray. I ran some round beads through the ink ( you could use marbles). I then let the beads roll all over the background, leaving a trail of ink behind them. Cool, eh? I then ran the piece through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Ooh La La Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky.
I stamped the Zentangled Happy Birthday Stamp using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I dabbed a little of the Riviera Blue Mist onto my Craft Sheet, added a little water and coloured the design. I cut it out using Spellbinders Diamond Effects and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Navy Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.
I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Fabulous Card everyone seems to be into Zentangle at present but I much prefer a stamp where I can colour as I really don't think I could do such fabulous Stamps justice by doodling on them if they were clear, so this Stamp for me is ideal. thanks for the peeks!
ReplyDeleteTake Care Hugs from Sam x
Great looking card Hav set TV to record I've done a similar technique borrowed from Ali Reeve & used scrunched up tin foil You scrunch it u in a way that you get "highs & lows" & the ink only then goes onto parts of the tin foil (if you see what I mean) Teminded me to try that again but perhaps your technique gives a better result Will be watching with great interest
