Hi Bloggers.
I had a lovely day with Kathryn yesterday in sunny but windy Portsmouth.
Today's card is another sneaky peak from Tuesday's shows -
For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti-static bag and stamped the Wrought Iron Corner Pre Cut Stamp using Perfect Medium in the top right-hand corner. I added Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Bay Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set. I repeated the process in the bottom left-hand corner. I wiped away the excess mica with a dry wetwipe. I then ran the background through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the corset which is from the Vintage Corset Pre Cut Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Arctic Bay Lustre Powder. Some of you may have this image already as it was on the very popular Vintage Lingerie A5 Stamp Set. However, this version is quite a bit larger than the original with the stamped image measuring approx 3" high and 2 1/2" wide. I cut the image out using scissors. I cut a piece of Aqua Silky Crush Ribbon in half lengthways and ruffled it along the base of the corset. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Beaded Squares out of Pastel Green Card and inked through the die with Evergreen Bough.
I cut some Aqua Silky Crush Ribbon in half lengthways again and made 2 ribbon roses following Sue's Ribbon Flower Tutorial.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Wrought Iron Corner Stamp, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Bay Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3 and inked through the die with Evergreen Bough.
I assembled the card as shown adding some bits of Pearl Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Laughing to myself about the larger corset, since I am on the large side myself, this one should suit me better! Love the colour scheme of this card, and making a mental note to watch your shows Julia. It would be nice if 'they' give you time to demo it.

ReplyDeleteAmazing I really like this whole concept - it really stands out from the crowd. The ribbon on the edge really finishes it off.
Enjoy some sun today - not just prepping all day.

ReplyDeleteI've never left a comment before, even though i've followed your blog for ages and I always watch your shows. But I just had to say what a beautiful card this is! I love your style and am amazed at your creative thinking, but somehow you always make me feel that I could achieve the same results. So thanks for your inspiration and I hope to leave more comments in the future. sarah (aka redfox!)
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteLoving the card, gorgeous colour combo! The corner stamp is so pretty!...I NEED it!
I have the corset stamp, (the smaller one) and love using it...must get some cosmic shimmer embossing powders as they give it a lovely pearly look.
I've tried the ribbon ruffle with the red liner tape...but it can be a bit of a pain sometimes to get it to sit properly on the card!
Boo Hoo! I'm going to miss the shows this week, and I'm not sure about next week..no rota yet!
Have a great day & thanks for sharing
