Hi Bloggers.
Still waiting for Wheely Bad to claim her Gemini Die - please email me at juliawattscrafts@gmail.com with your address.
Here's today's card -
A slightly different way to use the Spellbinders Triple Flip Card Die. I cut the die out of Coconut White Card, embossing first to get the detail around the edges. I stamped the 2 centre panels using a sentiment and images from John Lockwood's Cherry Blossom Elements Clear Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival.
I stamped around the outside panel using a sentiment from Phill Martin's Scribbled Sentiments Clear Stamp Set.
I cut the centre 2 panels away from the outside panel using a craft knife and matted them onto Cobalt Card cut using Spellbinders Grand Squares and Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B Die Set. I stacked them up using 3d Foam. I coloured some of the flowers using Sea View and Soft Moss Matt Drawing Inks from the Garden Twist Set. I edged the centre panel with Cream Pearls from a Cream Pearl Adhesive Strip cut in half lengthways.
I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia & friends, apologies for my recent absence...had a bit of a relapse with my health...well my heart and fatigue actually...although I logged on to look at the lovely cards I couldn't concentrate so had to log off again...haven't been back to read all the comments from 2 previous cards so sincerely hope that all of you are keeping well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a simplistic but very stunning card Julia, I have the Phil Martins sentiment stamps similar to these and they really are wonderful to work with and no smudging neither...clean and clear...
I'm not really a stamper but the way you have designed this card you have encouraged me to at least give it a try.
Well I must away to leave a congratulations comment for the winners of the dies...I guess your hearts flipped when you saw your name in the winners list...very pleased for you all x x x
Take care and wishing you all a lovely day...hugs and smiles...love Beth B x x x

Hello Julia, lovely card and great ideas. Thank you. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteFirstly, thank you! I have sent you an email using my Hotmail address- they often get caught in spam filters etc so you may have to check. I've been unable to blog due to the after effects of a trip to hospital but I'm almost back to my version of normal lol!
Congratulations to the other winners xxx
Patricia, I'm just fashionably late ;-) I'm slow but I get there in the end!!!
Well, after all that onto the card. Blue- good! I'm really starting to need Phills sentiments stamps. I have some lovely backgrounds of his- I used the music score one in those colours for a card recently! The ones you used today are very different to my usual style of stamping but im really starting to love them. It looks like Johns and Phills stamps where made to go together- must admit that these cherry blossoms are on the list too as they're so pretty, a fairly simple layout but what an awesome effect. A card I'd be massively proud of!
Hugs,
T x
Beautiful Julia.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteLovely card, wish I could stamp this good. Love the scribbled sentiments from Phil Martin, bought these a few weeks ago and I seem to get good results with them, but stamping in general is not my best feature.
Must practise more.
