Hi Bloggers.
I'm demoing at Strikes Garden Centre in Stokesly today 10 till 4 - please pop by if you're in the area. I had a long drive up here yesterday so would be great to see lots of people at the demo.
I have a very simple card today made up from some demo bits -
I stamped the frame image and the sentiment together from John Lockwood's Dogwood Flower Clear Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Grape Embossing Powder. I used a Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B Die with the out of the box technique in a couple of places to cut it out.
I cut a delicate fancy frame out of Coconut White Card using Spellbinders Blooming Collection.
I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Triple Floral Die Set out of Lilac Card. At the emboss stage, I added the next sized die to give me a faux piercing effect. I added a little 3mm White Pearl in the centre of each flower around the frame.
I assembled the card as shown adding a little Purple Dazzler to each corner and piercing around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia...even though it is a long day for you I hope that you have a wonderful time with your demos and also a pleasant return journey home...
ReplyDeleteLove this card Julia, especially the colour so thank you for sharing with us today...so many different layers that come together in a very effective way...before finding the blogs of Sue, yourself and John I never knew dies existed let alone being able to compliment the card with various different designs...so again thank you for your Blog it is a godsend and a wonderful inspiration to me...
Please can yourself or your friends here tell me what the "out of the box technique" is..I'm sure it is something easy but I can't for the life of me figure out what it means...
Anyways Julia...I promise no names...lol...my sincere apologies to you...I don't quite think it raised the smiles I thought it would have done...
Take care Love Beth B x x x
Lovely card, especially like the flower stamp. Enjoy your demo day x
ReplyDeleteLovely card, love the stamping and colour. Linda.
ReplyDeleteSunning little card Julia. ...! Hope you have a great day ....
ReplyDeleteis there was any chance of getting a set of dies that give the faux piercing effect large enough to do the outer layer on the
base card ....could you request it from either creative expressions or Sue please.
I love the pierced effect on Sue's noble dies just want the bigger squares up to 7 1/2 inches ...
Luv Rach :)

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteThis card is lovely and in my favourite colours. I love the triple frame die, but as I said before I was a little disappointed that the die didn't give me a double row of faux piercing. I'll have to have a look at your instructions and have a play.
