Firstly, thank you for all the lovely comments about Sue's necklace. I was pleased it looked so good on screen. The design is called Bad Hair Day and was designed by my good friend, Sue Stallard. I showed it here on this blog in this post. Regarding making some like it to sell on Amazon, well, Sue's necklace took me 2 days to make and I only managed to complete it because I made it whilst on a beading holiday last November. I don't get much time to bead so most projects take me months to complete. So, not really possible to make lots to sell. I haven't sold a single item despite listing on etsy for 4 months and showing here via the menu at the top of the blog, so not much incentive either!

Sue's dies went so well over the weekend. I am so pleased for her. A no-brainer really as far as I'm concerned as any of you who own some her dies will know that the designs are gorgeous and they cut beautifully with not much in the die cut to poke out. I do have some dies and stamps left in my Amazon Store - you can see them all here. I have already ordered some more stock and will hopefully have them by the end of the week.

By the way, I found some more Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies. They're on auction on ebay - click on ebay in the top menu bar to go and have a look.

I don't think this card ever got shown on tv which was a shame as I really liked the way the Crochet Ribbon combined with the Grosgrain to soften it.

For the background, I ran some Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Great Almanzo Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Faded Jeans.

I cut a Spellbinders Decorative Labels One out of Cobalt Card and added it to my background as shown. I wrapped a piece of Blue/Ivory Striped Grosgain around the centre of the card and then a piece of Cream Crochet Ribbon on top.

I stamped the image from the Justrite Grateful Hearts Vintage Labels Two using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Distress Markers - Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Evergreen Bough. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two and inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the same Justrite stamp set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using a die from the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour Die Set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die a couple of times and offset them behind the sentiment.

I tied bow using Blue/Ivory Striped Grograin and Cream Crochet Ribbon. I pressed a Metal Dazzler Setting into Perfect Medium, covered with Silver Shine Detail Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set. I added a Medium Circle Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Sparkle PVA around the edges.

Here's today's card -

For the main background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Joe's Garden Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

For the inner background, I stamped the Justrite Filigree Leaves Background using Aged Mahogany. Once dry, I inked around the edges with same.

I stamped the bottom section of the Get Well Soon Stamp 3 times using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut the panels out, matted them onto Rich Red Card and and added them to the Justrite Background.

I tied a bow using Black Crochet Ribbon and added a flower made with the Spellbinders Aster Flower Topper Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.

For the background, I popped a little Pink Blossom Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint onto my Craft Sheet. I picked a little up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and 'inked' through the middle design in the Floral Frame Mask onto Milk Card several times across the card. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Regal M-Bossabiities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extand the design and inked around the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I wrapped a piece of Cream Crochet Ribbon around the centre.

I stamped the image panel from the Just a Note Stamp using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out and then coloured it in using Pink Blossom Shimmer Paint, Pink Ultra and Golden Malachite from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Tones Watercolour Paint Set. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I placed the image next to the sentiment and selected a die to fit. I selected Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Rectangles. I removed the image panel and cut out, inking through the die with Victorian Velvet. I added the image panel using 3d Foam.

I cut a couple of flowers out using Sue's Classic Rose Die Set and added a Pink Dazzler to the centres. I cut a couple of leaves using Sue's Fern Trio Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm Cream Pearls at the side and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Vanilla PVA around the edges.

Just a Note

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Custard Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elite M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Wild Honey Distress Ink.

I masked off the word panel and the image panel from the Just a Note Stamp and inked up 'a note' with Jet Black Archival. I removed the masks and stamped and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder.

I then stamped the word panel from the Just a Note stamp and the image panel from the Thank You stamp, using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut the panels out and coloured in using Topaz Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint, a little Tangerine Dream Cosmic Shimmer Ink Spray Mist mixed with a little Enchanted Gold Watercolour from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Tones Watercolour Paint Set, Golden Malachite Watercolour again from the Garden Tones Set. I placed the word panel and the image panel around the 'a note' and selected the Spellbinders Diamond Effects Die. I removed the word and image panels and cut out, inking through the die with Wild Honey Distress Ink. I added the word and image panels using 3d Foam.

I tied a bow using White Satin Edged Organza and added a Clear Sparkler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Vanilla PVA around the edges.

Painted Tulips

Here's today's card -

For the background, I randomly inked through the Rosette Mask using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, then repeated with the Woven Mask and Bundled Sage Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Tulip Spray Stamp using Victorian Velvet. I wrapped some White Satin Edged Organza around the centre.

I stamped the Justrite Lace Oval Fram onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Pink Speckle Embossing Powder. I cut an aperture out of the centre using Spellbinders Opulent Ovals.

 I mixed a little of the Red Fire Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Subtle Shades Mica Spray Set with a little water and painted onto the flower heads on the Tulip Spray Stamp. I mixed a little Golden Malachite Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set with a little water and painted the leaves on the stamp. I misted lightly with water and stamped onto Coconut White Card. I set this within the aperture of the Lace Frame.

I tied a bow using White Satin Edged Organza and added a Pink Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.

Forgot to tell you yesterday that the 'white' Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Pastes are now in stock in my Amazon Store - Frosty Dawn here and Icicle Blue here.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I started by spritzing a piece of Coconut Card with Scarlet Sunrise Cosmic Shimmer Ink Spray Mist. I popped a little Russet Red Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint on to my Craft Sheet. I picked a little up on a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and 'inked' through a section of the Floral Frame Mask in each corner of the card.

I stamped the For You Stamp using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Scarlet Sunrise Ink Spray Mist, Enchanted Gold and Golden Pear from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Tones Watercolour Paint Set. For the frame, I mixed a little Enchanted Gold Watercolour with a little Scarlet Sunrise Ink Spray Mist. I cut it out using Spellbinders Grand Rectangles and inked through the die with Festive Berries Distress Ink.

I cut a piece of Black Card and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elite M-Bossabilities Folder. I 'inked' around the edges with Russet Red Shimmer Paint using Cut n Dry Foam.

I tied a bow using Black Crochet Ribbon. I cut a small flower from Sue's Classic Rose Die Set, inking around the edges with a little Festive Berries Distress Ink. I added a Black Vintage Button.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

The Pearl Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint is now back in stock in my Amazon Store with some other colours which you can find here. I've also stocked the Pearl Sprays that Sue used on her shows last weekend. Also new in stock are a a couple of new Couture Creations Embossing Folders which are on my next Toolshed Shows - Small Dots and Asian Weave. Both these designs have tiny repeating patterns which mean you can easily line them up when extending the design.

Just a little reminder that some of the auctions of my Heartfelt Creations dies & stamps on ebay end this evening with the remainder ending tomorrow. Click on the ebay link in the menu at the top of this blog to go and have a look.

Another card with the sentiment stamps today. I love how you can make so many easy peasy, different combo cards with this series of stamps.

For the background, I inked through one of the designs on the Floral Elements Mask in each corner using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. The design joined up to form a frame. I then ran it though the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Regal M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Faded Jeans.

I stamped the Congratulations Stamp twice using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped the Best Wishes Stamp, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Detail Powder. I cut one of the Congratulations out complete and then just the panels out of the other and the Best Wishes. I inked around the edges of the Congratulations image panel and the Best Wishes sentiment panel with Faded Jeans.

I cut a Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One and at the emboss stage added the Spellbinders Butterfly Garden Grand Impressabilities. I inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I added the complete Congratulations image using 3d Foam, then the Congratulations image panel and the Best Wishes sentiment panel on top, again using 3d Foam.

I tied a bow using Blue/White Striped Grograin and added a White Crystal Sparkler and some White Pearl String.

I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl to each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.

Just a Note

Back from Ally Pally. Had a great weekend catching up with the Creative Expressions team and meeting lots of lovely crafters. Looking forward to September already!

Today is my son Nathan's 18th Birthday. Kathryn is visiting so we're out and about, hopefully having a really good day.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I spritzed through the Spellbinders Butterfly Garden Grand Impressabilities with Aqua Breeze Cosmic Shimmer Ink Spray Mist.

 I masked the word panel and the image panel off on the Just a Note Stamp and inked up using Jet Black Archival. I removed the mask and stamped it onto Coconut White Card and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I stamped the word panel and image panel on a separate piece of card, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder.

I arranged the panels around the 'a note' and selected Spellbinders Pearl Effects to fit around them. I removed the 2 panels and cut the die. I inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I coloured the image panel in using the Aqua Breeze Ink Spray Mist and Golden Aqua, Golden Pear and Enchanted Gold from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Tones Watercolour Paint Set. I also added a little of the Aqua Breeze to the strip under the 'a note'

I tied a bow using Blue/White Striped Grosgrain and added a White Crystal Sparkler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.

Day 2 of Ally Pally today. As I said yesterday, if you're visiting, please come and say Hi.

Here's today's card - comments saying it is too dark for you are not allowed today. Just think of it in lighter colours if that's what you're thinking! As always, the idea of this blog is to give you ideas and inspire you to have a go with your own colour schemes.

To start, I popped the Rope Mask onto a piece of Black Card and spread Silver Moon Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste through it. I removed the mask and put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Gratitudes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Captivating Squares. I cut a Spellbinders Marvelous Squares out of Silver Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

For the background, I first popped a little Topaz Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint onto my Craft Sheet. I picked a little up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and 'inked' through one of the designs in the Floral Elements Mask in each corner. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Plaid A6 stamp using Peeled Paint Distress Ink. . I made sure the paint and the ink were dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elite M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Peeled Paint.

I cut a Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One and at the emboss stage I added the the Spellbinders Butterfly Garden Grand Impressabilities. I inked through the die with Peeled Paint.

I stamped the image panel from the For You Stamp and the sentiment panel from the Best Wishes Stamp, both using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut the panels out. I coloured the image panel in using Topaz and Graphite Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paints and Golden Pear from the Garden Tones Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paint Set.

I inked around the edges of the sentiment panel with Peeled Paint.

I tied a bow using Green/White Striped Grosgrain and added a White Crystal Sparkler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some bits of a Pearl Swirl, some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.
