Hi Friend

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

An easy peasy card today - the background die is so lovely that you don't need to add much.

I cut the Spellbinders Tapestry Die out of Coconut White Card leaving a border around the edge (it has no outside cutting edge). I inked through the die with Terra Cotta Adirondack Dye Ink using a Smoothie. I matted it onto Black Card.

I stamped the sentinent from the Creative Expressions Tatty's Text  onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using a die from the Spellbinders Victorian Tags Die Set and inked through the die with Terra Cotta ink. I cut the correspinding larger die and inked through the die with Terra Cotta Ink.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

See told you it was easy!

The first stock of Phill Martin's dies is due in today. All the orders placed for them will be posted out today. You can still get 10% discount on Phill's dies on my website here till midnight tonight.

You're Special to Me

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I cut a piece of Black Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares Set B. I then cut the Couture Creations Vierge Square out of it and put aside.

I cut the Vierge Square again out of Coconut White Card. I used this as a mask and inked through it onto another piece of Coconut White Card (mask off the centre with low tack tape or a post it first!). I pounced through the die cut with Jade Forest, Plum Cobbler and Scarlet Woman Colour Clouds using Smoothies. I used this as my background. The mask can be used again or used as it is on another project.

I added my Black Vierge Square Die Cut to my background, offsetting it slightly so that the a bit of the white card, that wasn't inked due to the mask, can be seen causing a shadow effect.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and inked through the die with Plum Cobbler Colour Cloud. I cut the other 2 dies in the Scrolled Tomentosa Set out of Black Card.

I coloured a piece of Blue White American Seam Binding with the same 3 Colour Clouds that I used on the background and tied a bow using 3 lengths of it. I made a flower out of Coconut White Card using the Couture Creations Falling Blossoms Die, inking the tips of the petals with Plum Cobbler and adding an 8mm Black Pearl to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just For You

Hi Bloggers.

A simple card today. This card looks blue but it's actually lilac -

For the background, I inked a piece of Coconut White Card with Shaded Lilac Distress Stain. Once completely dry, I ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Couture Creations Thinking of You Embossing Folder. I sanded it to reveal the core and made the design pop.

I stamped the balloon image and the sentiment from the Justrite Explore Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Clear Embossing Powder. I rubbed some Shaded Lilac Distress Stain over the image and sentiment. I cut the sentiment out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four.

I cut the sentiment out using Justrite Antique Labels One Dies.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Stock of Phill Martin's new dies will arrive on Monday. My pre-order of the Happy Birthday to You die set sold out yesterday. I have ordered some more and I have amended the item on the website with a dispatch approx Wednesday 10th February which is when I'm guessing they will arrive. I've done this so you can take advantage of the 10% discount which applies till midnight Monday 8th February. Orders placed for the original stock will be sent out as soon as my order arrives on Monday. You can find Phill's dies on my website here.

Happy Anniversary

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

All Coconut White Card on this one.

I started with the frame. I cut the outer die in Sue Wilson's Ornate Pierced Squares and then I cut the 3 largest dies together. I glued the 2 pieces together and put aside to dry. Once dry, I seated the inner die back in the frame and ran through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine on the cut sandwich to make the frame.

I embossed a piece of card with the Creative Expressions Star Swirls Embossing Folder. I added 3D Foam to the back of the frame and added it to the embossed piece, trimming away the excess.

I cut the 2 outer dies together in Sue's Wellington Die Set . I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it our using die 2 in the Wellington Set and also cut die 3. I stacked these up onto the other die cut using 3D Foam.

I cut a pair of Sue's Laced Edged Leaves and a bunch of Sue's String Flowers.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I've settled on the projects for my workshop in Milton Keynes on 12th March. I'm not going to reveal the complete projects but I can give you itty bitty sneak peeks. There will be 3 projects. You can book on my website here.

Here's your first itty bitty sneak peek -

Phill Martin's dies are now loaded onto my website. I won't be able to send them out till next week when the stock arrives. There'll be 10% discount till midnight on Monday 8th February. You can find them here.

Travel Soar Explore

Hi Bloggers.

Inky fun today!

So, for my inky background, I inked a piece of Coconut White Card with Festive Berries, Seedless Preserves and Salty Ocean Distress Stains. Distress Stains are more vibrant than Distress Ink Pads - you would have to work a bit harder to get this intensity of colour with an ink pad.

I misted some water into my hand and did the 'happy clappy' over the background. I left the spots of water for a minute or so and then blotted off with a piece of kitchen roll.

I popped some Lemon Juice into a mister bottle and misted it into my and and then clapped this over the background too. I dried this with my Heat Tool - it takes a while, has a lovely burnt lemon smell.

Next I stamped one of the little solid flower cluster stamps from the Justrite Floral Fan Elements randomly over the piece using Jet Black Archival.

Then, pinny on and time for some splats in the various colours. They look better is you really go for it! I put it aside so the splats could dry naturally.

Once dry, I placed the Grid Mask at a jaunty angle and inked through it with Pebble Adirondack Dye Ink using a Smoothie. I drew some squiggly lines around the edges and added an 8mm Black Pearl to each corner.

I stamped the Balloon image from the Justrite Explore Vintage Labels Four Die Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I also stamped the 3 words from the same stamp set in the same way. I added Festive Berries Distress Stain over the stamped image and words.

I cut the Ballon image out using a Justrite Vintage Labels Four Die.

I separated the words using scissors and added some faux stitching using my fineliner pen.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Phill Martin is launching his own range of dies. The first release is being unveiled tomorrow. They're not available to order yet but as soon as they are I'll order some and load them onto my website.

The sky's the limit!

Hi Bloggers.

Hopefully this isn't too pale for you to see!

This card is made from Milk Card only with colour from Pool Adirondack Dye Ink.

The background was embossed through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Spellbinders Ornamental Iron M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Pool Ink using a Smoothie.

I cut the large die from the Spellbinders Victorian Medallion One Die Set and inked through the die with Pool Ink. I inked a piece of card with Pool Ink and then cut the middle size die from the Spellbinders Floral Burst Cut, Fold & Tuck Die Set. I folded & tucked, added an 8mm Cream Pearl to the centre and popped it in the centre of the Medallion die cut.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Tatty's Text using Watering Can Archival - I used the 2nd generation. I cut it out using a die from the Spellbinders Victorian Tags Die Set, inking through the die with Pool Ink. I cut the corresponding fancy die from the set as a mat, again inking through the die with Pool Ink.

I cut a Spellbinders Moroccan Accent and made a flower out of Cream Crochet Ribbon.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more 8mm Pearls to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

If Karen Watts is reading this - please check your email (including spam) as I've emailed you several times regarding your order. Thanks.
