Hi Bloggers.
Once again, Thank You so much for all your comments here on the blog and emails to the studio. Much appreciated, as always. So glad you loved the embossing powders.
Here's today's card -
For the background, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Rose Background using Tattered Rose Distress Ink. I repeated the process with the Ledger Stamp using Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then dusted the whole area with my anti-static bag. I then randomly stamped one of the flourishes from the Newsprint Flourishes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I added Cosmic Shimmer Red Salmon Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set. As this was a larger background than usual, I ran it through the Grand Calibur with Sue's new Tapestry Embossing Folder to add texture. I edged the background with Tattered Rose.
I stamped the Daisy Swirl using Perfect Medium and embossed with Red Salmon Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ornate Artisan Tags & Accents and inked through the die with Tattered Rose. I cut the largest die from the same die set out of Blush Card and inked through the die with Tattered Rose.
I made a scrunched up flower using Spellbinders Labels 9 and cut some 'leaves' using the Spellbinders Ornate Artisan Tags & Accents.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Daisy Swirl using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Red Salmon Lustre Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader die and inked through the die with Tattered Rose. I threaded a little Blue White American Seam Binding through the slits in the die cut. I tied a bow using 3 lengths of the American Seam Binding and added a Pink Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteFabulous card today. Enjoyed your shows yesterday. I agree with other people that the second show was like a dating show and I liked you comment (talk about I am important - not) We tuned in to watch you and not her.(sorry if this offends anyone but this is my opinion)

Such a pretty card and I loved the way you did your roses, such a shame that there were so many interruptions but good for you for carrying on talking and demonstrating.

Good morning Julia and everyone.
ReplyDeleteWatched the first show with Deano which was an absolute scream but missed the second show as I was cooking tea. . . . .Im with Val on this. . . If anyone else was on with you, Hubby would have had to wait for feeding! Sounds like she didn't disappoint!
Your talent deserves proper attention.
Love the scrunchy flower today.
I didn't get to see the shows yesterday and unfortunately forgot to Sky+ them but I am luving the labels 9 flower for different - wish I had seen you make it but then again from some of the comments above I would possibly ended shouting at the screen (I shall say no more)!!! xx Gail T xxs
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, beautifully delicate card. Loved watching the first show with Dean yesterday, you kept your calm beautifully when the box was dropped, I was giggling off and on through the show. I really will have a go at the ribbon rose. I too have a habit of switching off with some of the presenters hence I didn't watch the later show.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day - hugs
Hi Julia -beautiful card - love how delicate it is. Unfortunately I was out yesterday and missed the shows (but hubby did record them for me) but of course I missed out on the embossing powders so I am hoping you bring them back on your next show.
ReplyDeleteTake care

Hi Julia watch your shows yesterday loved the demonstrations this card is so beautiful and i have not seen this die before thank you for showing this love Jean Z xx
ReplyDeleteLove today's card and I loved your shows with all the tips and techniques. It is sad as others have said about the verbal content from presenters but no use complaining to you we need to get together and write to C & C!!Which is what I have done.

Hi Julia, Firstly I would just like to say today's card is just so beautiful, and your demo's yesterday were just brilliant. Lots of hints and tips gratefully received, a big thank you. Now, I was so angry, with a certain presenter, on your evening show. How rude was she!!! How you kept so calm is beyond me. I'm not the sort of person to be out spoken, however, it was your show and she kept interrupting you for her own gratitude, it was like watching some TV dating program! Trying to belittle you is just so rude, I love line dancing too. She needs to keep her opinions to herself. You did such an amazing job yesterday, and look forward to more shows. Hope you have a great day Crafty hugs Debbie R xx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia this is a really pretty card and I have to say I don't think I've seen this die set anywhere before so thanks for bringing it to us. I taped the first show and as always it was great to watch as you and Dean are really good together,I don't always like him I find him a bit much sometimes!! I got to watch most of the second show live and the less we say about Dawn the better!! How you don't say anything to her is beyond me she's the rudest and most self-entered person I've ever come across!!! Rant over look forward to the potd in a couple of weeks love Lesley x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteYour demos were great as usual - you really explain everything well. I too thought Dawn Bibby was really rude and self centered while you were try to demonstrate. I've noticed it with others too - in fact she got on my wick so much yesterday that I sent an email to C & C about her. It must be old age but I can't keep my mouth shut!!
Thanks again

Hi Julia. Didn't get to see your programmes until late last night but the earlier one was well worth waiting for and so was the second one for your excellent demos. SueL

ReplyDeleteGood evening Julia
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love everything about it! Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed the early show yesterday, didn't get to watch the later show, though I'm glad in a way as I might have been tempted to launch the remote at the T.V.
Glad I'm not the only one with a negative opinion of a certain presenter, she's fine demonstrating her own products, but with guests.....forget it! Sorry DB fans, that's how I feel!
Julia you are a very talented and PATIENT lady, I look forward to more of your crafting!!
Have a good evening
Lara xx
Hi Julia watched you demonstrate this card yesterday. Looks good in the pink and the embossing powders are fab. Can only echo other comments made about DB, how rude and self opiniated she is
