Paper Cuts Bauble Duo Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

I have another sneak peek for you today from Friday's Paper Cuts One Day Special. Now, if you like bling on your cards, I have to tell you there's an awful lot of it on the shows. This does mean that I can hopefully show you lots of options to use with the dies - great for batch making but a bit less boring if you vary the blingy bits!

I'm launching 8 of the colours of the new Cosmic Shimmer Gitterbitz on the shows. Glitterbitz are made up of 3 different sizes of Glitter which is brilliant as you get lots of sparkle but with the smallest particles, all the gaps are filled in when adding to Double Sided Adhesive. I have used a couple of the colours of Glitterbitz on this card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card with the Creative Expressions Nordic Tiles Embossing Folder. I matted onto Midnight Blue Pearl Card.

I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the outer dies from the Paper Cuts Merry Christmas Bauble Duo Die Set out of it and the star corner from the Paper Cuts Jingle Bells Die Set 4 times.

I cut each pair of dies from the bauble die set out of Coconut White Card. I removed the backing sheet from the plain baubles and added my decorative die cuts. I added CS Periwinkle Glitterbitz to the exposed adhesive on one bauble and Silver Chrome Glitterbitz to the other.

I added Woodware 2mm Foam Tape to the back of my baubles, added some Baker's Twine through the loop and wrapped it around the back of my card. I added a Baker's Twine bow to each bauble.

I matted my card onto Coconut White Card.

I added CS Periwinkle Glitterbitz to my star corners and added them to my card using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

I ran some CS Glue around the edges of my card and then added CS Silver Chrome Glitterbitz and put aside to dry.

You may find that some of the finer glitter particles stick to your card when sprinkling over the glue. Don't panic - wait till the glue is dry and remove with a soft brush. I have a mica brush that I use just for this purpose. Also, if you don't like the loss of definition of some of your fine detail die cuts, use Polished Silk Glitter instead. The colours are the same for both products (where the name is the same - there is no Frosted Sparkle, Midnight Sparkle or Blue Gunmetal in Polished Silk).

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
