I'm heading up to Creative Expressions HQ today for the first of my Stained Glass Window Techniques Workshops. We're using all 5 of Sue Wilson's Stained Glass Window Dies - it's going to be busy! I'm repeating the workshop next Wednesday so if you fancy joining us, there are a couple of spaces remaining - book here.
I have 2 cards for you today. Very simple to produce so, like yesterday's card, great to have in your stash or can be made if you need a card in a hurry. I actually made them both at the last workshop I ran up at CE HQ so quite appropriate to share them today 😊
So, for the background on this one, I inked up the Woodware Memories Stamp with Blue Lagoon and Terracotta Chalk Clouds, applying the ink using Smoothies. I was quite random with my inking. I like the way you get a different colour where the inks overlap. I stamped onto Coconut White Card.
I cut out using Sue Wilson's Essential Rectangles and inked around the edges with Terracotta Chalk Cloud using a Smoothie.
I stamped the images on top using Onyx Black Versafine Ink - they're all from Danny Mcintosh's Watch the Birdie Rubber Stamp Set. I completed my card by mounting onto Black Card and popping onto a Coconut White Card blank.
Here's the second card -
For the background on this one, I inked the Woodware Travel Background with Blue Lagoon, Enchanted Blossom and Terracotta Chalk Clouds using Smoothies. This time I inked the stamp up in bands across the stamp. You still see a mix of colours where the inks overlap, especially where the Blue Lagoon meets the Enchanted Blossom.
I cut out again using Sue's Essential Rectangles and inked around the edges with Blue Lagoon Chalk Cloud using a Smoothie.
This time, I over-stamped with one of the eyes from the Woodware Eyes Stamp Set and used the sentiment from the Woodware Vintage Inspiration Stamp Set.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards. Have fun at your workshop today, would love to be there. If using crstal varnish laquer or any similar bottle remember to warn your attendees not to squeeze too hard when the product doesn't come out - I had an explosion of laquer this weekend when the end popped out! I decided to try a less messy method for my stained glass project!
B xx
