Hi Bloggers.
Another dance card today - I do have rather a lot of them to share. I've not had the time to go back to previous show samples yet to find ones I haven't shared yet to give you a mix. I'll try and do that soon - don't want you to get bored!
For the background, with the stamp in my hand I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Vintage Sheet Music Background onto Coconut White Card using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I repeated the process with Phill Martin's Vintage Script Background and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Floral Brocade PinPoint Embossing Folder and inked around the edges with Faded Jeans. I rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the embossed surface. I let it dry for a few minutes and then buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.
I stamped the Argentine Tango Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Steel Blue Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinder A2 Curved Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a Spellbinders Diamond Effects Die out of Sky Blue Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Step by Step Sentiment Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Steel Blue Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 8 and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I made a flower out of White Crochet Ribbon and cut a couple of leaves out of Sky Blue Card using Sue's Curled Vines Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding a Small Circle Dazzler to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pealrescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHooray! Received the Argentine Tango kit yesterday and very impressed. CE must do more. So had to watch your show with Dean and follow your demo. It was a very enjoyable show.
I am finding that a lot of excess embossing powder is left on the card - any tips please Julia?
Love these dance stamps and look forward to seeing more samples.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

If you've watched the show with the demo, you should have seen me explain about the bloom left from excess mica powder and seen me remove it with a dry wet wipe! Julia
DeleteThanks Julia - sorry a senior moment. Wet wipes out to dry.
DeleteVery pleased with my first trial using plum and black cardstock, black and plum ribbon and an organza rose. I even did Berry Sparkle PVA dots!! I mixed some CS black and shiny silver embossing powder, which was quite effective.
Thank you. Sheila
Morning Julia,
