Best Daughter in Blue

Hi Bloggers.

I'm heading off to Ally Pally this afternoon to set up for the show which is on Saturday and Sunday. If you're going, please come and say Hi - I'll be on the Creative Expressions Stand with Sam, Leonie and John. I'll be doing a demo in the demo area at 12noon each day (about 20 mins long).

Here's today's card -

For the background, I stamped the border from the Garden Party Stamp Set using Salty Ocean Distress Ink along the top and the bottom of a piece of Coconut White Card. I made sure the ink was dry and then embossed the central area with the Lattice Mask by running it through the Grand Calibur. I ran it through a second time to extend the design - so easy to line this one up as it's a repeating pattern. I inked around the edges with Salty Ocean using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and inked through the die with Salty Ocean. I cut the largest 2 dies out of the same set and again inked through the die with Salty Ocean.

I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Footsteps Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Persian Sea Aurora. I cut it out using 2 dies from the Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles Die Set and inked through the die with Salty Ocean.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Small Fancy Pearl Embellishment which I coloured with Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder,

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cobalt around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

On Your Special Day

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I stamped the Vintage Filigree A6 Stamp several times using Spun Sugar Distress Ink (properly with an acrylic block, not in the hand). I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder, I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the shoe image from the Garden Party Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 29 and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I stamped the butterfly from the same stamp set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out with scissors (yes, I did cut off the antenae!), shaped it and added some 3mm White Pearls to its body.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set as before. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I assembled the card as shown adding a few more White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

For the background, I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with Sue Wilson's Cascading Hearts Embossing Folder.

I stamped the shoe from the Creative Expressions Floral Footsteps stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Grand Stately Circle and cut a larger Stately Circle out of Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four and a mat out of Black Card using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.

May Time Bring Happy Memories

Hi Bloggers.

I thought I'd share a Sunkissed Fleur sample today -

For the background I did some proper stamping of the Justrite Sweet Lace Background using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I stamped it twice to cover the area. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with Sue Wilson's Heart Lattice Embossing Folder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Natures Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and inked through the die with Tumbled Glass. I cut a larger Resplendent Rectangle out of Baby Blue Pearlescent Card from my stash.

I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Striped Sunkissed Fleur stamp twice using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Sunkissed Fleur Die. I selected 2 sets of 3 different sized flowers. I first coloured them in using Tumbled Glass Distress Marker. I blinged them up a bit using Cosmic Shimmer Patina Vintage Mister. Then I gave them a bit more bling by rubbing some Pearl Moon Gilding Wax over the top. I shaped them as per the Heartfelt Creations YouTube video, stacked them up and added an 8mm Cream Pearl in the centre of each.

I stamped some leaves from the Heartfelt Creations Open Leaf stamps using Old Paper Distress Ink. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Get Well Soon

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I popped my tan mat onto my base plate. I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti static bag and placed it dusted side up on my tan mat. I inked up the Lattice Mask with Perfect Medium and placed it inked side down on top of the dusted card. I added the pink embossing plate and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I added Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder tapped off the excess and heat set.

I stamped the butterfly from the Creative Expressions Garden Party Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Stately Circles and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I cut the smallest of the Grand Stately Circles and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Card Creator Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Peachy!

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I inked through the Lattice Mask with Dried Marigold. I did start off just thinking that I'd ink a section in each corner but I didn't like that so I ended up being a bit random. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dried Marigold using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Garden Party Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Stately Circles and inked through the die with Dried Marigold. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I used Emerald Gold and Jade Mint from the the Luscious Greens Set, Golden Scarlet and Tropic Yellow from the Autumn Sunset Set.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Dried Marigold.

I tied a bow using Cream Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Peach Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

Don't forget that Sue is back on Create & Craft today at 12noon for 2 hours and then again at 5pm for an hour. She has some fab new products on her shows.

Thanks for stopping by.

On Your Special Day

Hi Bloggers.

Another card from Thursday's shows -

The background is simply a piece of Coconut White Card run through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over it.

I stamped the image from the Garden Party Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles and inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I coloured the image in using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I used Antique Green, Jade Mint, Marine Sea and Sapphire Sparkle - all from the Luscious Greens Set.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I stamped the Vintage Filigree A6 stamp using Faded Jeans and embossed with clear powder. I made a flower as in this tutorial but, I confess, I cheated and used a punch instead of the flower stamp. I cut a couple of leaves out using the Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Add On Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

To the Best Daughter in the World

Hi Bloggers.

How many of us Moms think the above of our daughter/s? All of us, I should think. I'm off to see Kathryn today. She's moved into her student house in Portsmouth ready for the new term at Uni starting in just over a week.

So, today, we have the same boot as yesterday's card but in a different colour way.

This card has Milk Card as it's base. For the background, I inked through the Doodle Daisies Mask with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. Then I ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I rubbed Blush Gilding Wax all over. Once dry, I inked around the edges with Worn Lipstick.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Floral Footprints Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals and inked through the die with Worn Lipstick. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour paints. I used Antique Green from the Luscious Greens Set and Frosted Scarlet & Rocket Red from the Autumn Sunset Set.

I stamped the sentiment that comes in the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles and inked through the die with Worn Lipstick.

I made a couple of ribbon flowers out of Cream Crochet Ribbon. To do this, I cut the ribbon down the centre and added the Super Sticky Tape to the cut edge then continued as per Sue's Tutorial. I cut a couple of leaves out of Raspberry Card using Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding a 8mm Cream Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlecent PVA in Dusky Pink around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

For You

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows today on Create & Craft at 12noon (with Leonie) and 4pm (with Genevieve). I have some lovely shoe stamps on the shows so I'm really pleased that I have a couple of lady presenters. I have used quite a variety of Spellbinders dies on the cards - both old and new so you'll be able to see that the stamps will hopefully work with dies that you may have in your collection. By the way, I have ordered some of the new stamp sets for my Amazon Store - I should have them early next week.

Here's today's card -

I used Milk and Sand Card for this sample. For the background, I first randomly inked through the Lattice Mask with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Vintage Filigree Stamp still using Scattered Straw. I repeated the process with the Art Collage Stamp. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Taylor Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I rubbed Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over the surface. Once dry, I inked around the edges with Scattered Straw using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Floral Footsteps Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. Making an appearance on the shows is an old favourite - Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I used some to colour in the flowers and foliage on the boot. I used Jade Mint from the Luscious Greens Set and Yellow Sparkle & Olympic Gold from the Autumn Sunset Set. I added a few 3mm Cream Pearls to the centre of the flowers. I cut a larger Pearl Effects out of Sand Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fleur De Lys Squares and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I cut the next size up out of Sand Card.

I tied a bow using Cream Crochet Ribbon and added a Small Fancy Pearl Embellishment (on Sue's shows on Sunday).

I assembled the card as shown adding a 8mm Cream Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

See you later!

Happy Birthday

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, here's a sneak peak from tomorrow's shows. The theme is shoes and flowers.

For the background, I inked through the Doddle Daisies Mask with Fired Brick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask around so that the whole area was covered. Next, with the stamp in my hand, I stamped the Vintage Filigree A6 Stamp several times, again using Fired Brick. Using the same technique, I stamped the Bubbles Stamp using Festive Berries Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then popped it though the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Taylor Embossing Folder to add some texture. I ran it though a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Fired Brick.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Floral Footsteps Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Blue Raspberry Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fleur De Lys Squares and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Blue Raspberry Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Card Creator Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I made a scrunched flower ( I will demo this in the 12noon show) with 6 layers cut from the Spellbinders Blossom 5 die set. I inked the edges with Fired Brick after it was complete. I cut a couple of leaves out of Ruby Card using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

You're the Best

Hi Bloggers.

In answer to a couple of questions - I usually make a card from start to finish. I don't have a stash of sentiments already stamped as the stamp sets change from show to show. I probably won't have the Fishtail Frock on C&C again as it's already been on a few times. It is available in my Amazon Store. Whenever you see a highlighed product within the card description then if you click on it then you'll be taken to that product in my Amazon Store. Postage starts at £2.80 for 1 item and is just an extra 10p for each extra item. I think that's all the outstanding questions.

Another card today from the recent Spellbinders Shows -

For the background, I ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Extra Confetti Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Gratitudes Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and inked though the die with Scattered Straw. I cut the next but one size of the Oval dies out of Custard Card and also added a Gold Ovals One Die.

I popped a Gold Rectangles One Die inside a Pearl Effects Die and cut them out of Coconut White Card. I removed the Gold die and inked through the Pearl Effects Die with Scattered Straw. I also added a little Scattered Straw around the very edge of the Pearl Effects Die Cut once I had removed it from the die.

I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Sunkissed Fleur using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut all the flowers out using the Sunkissed Fleur Die. I selected 2 of the flowers. I inked them up with Scattered Straw using Cut n Dry Foam and then rubbed some Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over them. I shaped them, glued them together using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue and added a White Pearl in the centre. I cut a couple of leaves out of Custard Card using the Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Add On Die Set.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

I'll be back tomorrow with a Sneak Peak from Thursday's shows - is it that time already!

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
