Hi Bloggers.
All change - the shows tomorrow have been cancelled and have been re-scheduled for 9th June at 11am and 7pm. The shows on Saturday are still going ahead - at the moment.
Today's card has several sections to it. I'm not quite sure if it works - let me know what you think.
I started by cutting out some motifs from the Spellbinders Damask Motifs die set. I cut 3 in grey and 3 in bright yellow. You don't need to emboss these as all of the embossed detail is in the cut-away sections. I glued them to the top of an A5 piece of white card as shown and added a pearl to the centre of each.
I embossed a piece of white card using the Spellbinders Nobilty M-Bossabilities Folder. I added this to the bottom of my card. I cut a yellow border using the Edgeabilities Classic Postage Stamp and an insert from the Edgeabilities Classic Ric Rac. I cut a grey border using the Edgeabilities Classic Bracket and a different insert from the Edgeabilities Classic Ric Rac. I added these to the bottom of my card.
I wrapped some Silver Vintage Ribbon around my card and added a bow made with 2 lengths of the same ribbon. I threaded some Baker's Twine from the Vintage Set through a yellow ribbon from my stash and added it to the centre of my bow.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the tag die from the Damask Motifs die set and glued it just below my bow.
Hope you like the card.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Hi Julia I have used this die in a similar way but filled the full front of the card in one colour. I will try this style today as its raining and this gives me a new project to try. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Julia, love the card and the layout, not sure about the yellow, and don't have the damask dies, but may try it with something else. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia. Love the layout of the card but the colours are not to my taste. I was looking for something like this so may have to try after I have been to work ( I have to suffer work to pay for my crafty habit but it seriously eats into my crafty time!!!). Looking forward to Saturdays shows - I expect I will need to add to my collection. Ju
