For the Bride and Groom

Hi Bloggers.

This is the first card I'm hoping to demo this afternoon in the 3pm show on Create & Craft.

For the background, I stamped the script stamp from the Creative Expressions Texture Stamp Set on to some Milk card using the Eco Green Yellow Damasque Dye Ink Pad. I then popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cultivated Embossing Folder. I had to run it through a second time to extend the pattern. I then edged with the Yellow Damasque Ink and Cut & Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Mr & Mrs Stamp Set using the Yellow Damasque Ink onto Milk card and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Lacey Circles and inked around the edges with the Yellow Damasque ink while still in the die. I cut another Lacy Circle out of white card and mounted the image circle on top, turning slightly.

I ran some cream crochet ribbon down the left-hand side of the background and then ruffled some ivory vintage ribbon on top. I tied a bow using the cream crochet ribbon and stuck this to my ribbon border with a glue dot. I made a flower made from the Spellbinders Rose Creations Die Set, popped a pearl in the centre and added it to the bow. I finished this off with a couple of white pearl decorative stick pins.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Bride & Groom Stamp Set using the Yellow Damasque Ink and embossed with the clear powder. These ink pads are really good for stamping and embossing - they stay wet for a reasonable amount of time and you don't lose any of the detail. I cut the sentiment out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners and inked with the Yellow Damasque ink while still in the die.

I matted some gold and milk card and added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Golden Pearl Pearlescent PVA. I added my design to it once they were dry.

Hope you like the card.

I do hope you can join me today on Create & Craft at 3pm (with Lottie) and 6pm (with Nigel).

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  1. I have to make a silver wedding card soon and will be tuned in this afternoon to watch your demos for ideas. This is a lovely card so elegant and how I would to tie my bows so well I seem to mafe messy bows not elegant ones.
