Simple Two-fer

Hi Bloggers.

I have a couple of simple cards for you today from the Justrite Weekend Wow shows -

I stamped the main image from the Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet Clear Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill Martin's CS Old Gold Embossing Powder. I used a dry wet wipe to remove the excess mica from the powder. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Rectangles and cut a mat out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Rectangles Set B.

I stamped the Justrite Text Background Stamp onto Coconut White Card, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill's Old Gold Embossing Powder. The text on this stamp can mostly be read but in places there are bits missing - this means that if your stamping is a bit off, it doesn't matter one bit! Win, win!

I cut it out using Sue's Double Pieced Rectangles Set B and cut a mat from Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Rectangles.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set as before and cut it out using a die from the Justrite A2 Card Basics Dies. I cut the next sized die out of Antique Gold Card for my mat.

I completed the card by adding a Cream 8mm Pearl to each corner.

Here's your second card -

Mega easy. I started by cutting an aperture out of a piece of scrap card using the largest small rectangle die (hope that makes sense!) in the Justrite A2 Card Basics Die Set. I then placed this onto a piece of Coconut White Card and spritzed through the aperture with Clover CS Ink Spray Mist. Once dry, I cut out using the smallest large rectangle die (here we go again! Hope that makes sense too!) in the same set.

I stamped the flower from the Justrite Doodled Birds Stamp Set into the misted area using Jet Black Archival. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet Stamp Set just below it as shown.

I cut some mats using the 2 largest dies from the set and cut a card blank using the largest die in the set (yes, an actual card here).

  12. Hi Julia. Thanks for showing us your 'simple' cards. Sometimes these are harder to achieve I think than the more involved ones. I am away for a few days but hopefully my stamps will have arrived by the time I get back. SueL x

  15. Two beautiful cards, Julia. Paper crafting has to take a back seat this week as I am at Knuston, with Jan, to make lace.
