Shows on Create & Craft Today

Hi Bloggers.

UPDATE - Sorry folks my 3pm show has been cancelled by C&C.

I have shows on Create & Craft today at 10am and 3pm with some of my favourite Creative Expressions Stamps from this year. There are different stamps of each show so if you're buying, please be sure to check both shows before checking out your basket.

Here's a card that would have been shown on the 3pm show -

Every once in a while, I make a card that surprises me. I find I like it much more than I expected. This is one of those cards which is why I thought I'd share it today. The rose stamp looks lovely in pale blue and the Spellbinders Majesty looks stunning gilded.

Ok, so for the background, I started by randomly inking through the Criss Cross Mask with Stormy Sky Distress Ink onto Coconut White Card. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Resplendent Roses Background with Stormy Sky. I repeated the process using Phill's Grungy Honeycomb Background, again with Stormy Sky. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Rambling Blossoms Embossing Folder and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky. I runned Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the surface. I left it to dry for a few minutes and then buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I mixed a little Harebell Mica Powder (from the Cosmic Shimmer Subtle Shades Mica Spray Set) with some Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped the Rose Entwined Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with my custom made powder. I used a dry wet wipe to remove the excess mica. I used a trimmer to cut it down and inked the very edges with Stormy Sky.

I stamped the sentiment that comes wth the rose stamp, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with my custom made powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 29 and inked around the edges with Stormy Sky.

I cut the largest 2 dies together from the Spellbinders Majesty Die Set out of Coconut White Card (best to use Wax Paper with this one). I rubbed Phill Martin's Vintage Blue Gilding Wax all over. I cut the largest die only from the set out of Sky Blue Card and glued the gilded die cut on top using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I cut a couple of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Curled Vines Dies Set and rubbed Vintage Blue Gilding Wax over. I made 2 flowers out of White Crochet Ribbon.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl PVA around the edges.

I've added photos of the cards from Saturday's shows to my Faebook page. You can see them here.

Hope you can join me later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
