Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I ran a piece of Sky Blue Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Lacy 8 Die with emboss sandwich only.
I then cut the Lacy 8 Die out of Cobalt Card. I used the inner section only and glued it on top of the embossed piece.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Everyday Expressions Stamp Set onto Sky Blue Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in Sue Wilson's Tuscany Die Set.
I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon. I painted some Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA onto a Small Fancy Pearl Embellishment. Once dry, I added it to the bow. I also added a couple of White Pearl Decorative Stick Pins.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Lovely card this morning, really liking the cobalt blue x
ReplyDeleteHello Julia, I love this card and must have a go . I have see Sue do this embossing but unsure how or why it doesn't cut and just emboss. I have nothing spoiling so I will have a go. I hope the rain has stopped for you all.

Lovely card & I really like this technique-must try this soon.
ReplyDeleteMichele.
This technique looks very effective But like Lydia when I try it, parts cut out instead of emboss I will give it another go and by sticking a seperate die cut on top of the embossed one hopefully it'll hide the slightly cut embossed one - did any of that make sense? Tips to avoid it happening in first place would be very gratefully received because I tend to only use an embossing folder to emboss and not my dies
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, a really great technique, will have to try it with some of the dies I have, as I don't have this one. Have a great Sunday. Bx
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia

ReplyDeleteLovely card Julia. I can't wait to try the technique you have used to create the centrepiece. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely card Julia, very striking and not as difficult as it looks but the sound of it.
ReplyDeleteLike what you have done with this card Julia. I have this die, so might give this a go, won't be quite the same, as I will need to adjust it slightly to fit on the card blank.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Julia.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours, I always think this die reminds me of a stained glass window!
