Thank You

Hi Bloggers.

Today I'm sharing another card from the Spellbinders shows earlier this week.

For the background, I used a piece of Kraft Card and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Nobility M-Bossabilities Folder. I coloured it using Olive Archival and Cut & Dry Foam.

I cut a Spellbinders Elegant Post from green Kraftcore and sanded it to reveal some of the core.

Using Spellbinders Labels Thirteen, I cut the largest size and the next but one size out of green Kraftcore card. At the emboss stage I added the Basket Weave Mask from That Special Touch. I sanded the die cuts to reveal some of the core. I then cut the second largest size and the the next but one size to that out of Plaid card (Junkitz). I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set onto Kraft Card using the Olive Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the smallest but one of the Labels Thirteen dies and inked with Olive Archival while still in the die. I layered all the Labels Thirteen die cuts up twisting the alternate layers 90 degrees.

I cut a border using Spellbinders Banner Basics One from the plaid card and glued it to the bottom of my card.

I made a large (!) bow out of green/ivory grosgrain ribbon and added it to the bottom of my card (bow may be a tad too large!!). I cut a Ribbon Buckle out of Kraft Card and inked through the die with Olive Archival. I threaded some green baker's twine from the Earthtones set and tied the bow, added it to the ribbon buckle and then popped into the middle of my bow.

Hope you like the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

    1. Hi Pam.
Sorry I didn't realise one of the samples was yours or I would have given you a shout out. I just grabbed as many samples as I could from HQ, some I know are Sue's and Christine's but I'm sure Karen has made some too. More shows at the end of next week. Will give you a shout out if I can.
      Love, Julia x

  5. I love the way you have turned the dies on this card. I find it difficult to 'think out of the box' so this has given me an idea.

  9. Hi Julia, Well this is different to the norm! I like the way you've used the Elegant post. The way you've positioned it makes me think of using it on manly cards..to me it conjures up Faux pub signs. Great possibilities! Thanks for using these dies like this..I love looking on your blog each day..:)..Enjoy your day..xx

  10. Hi Julia,
Great card, hope that you've recovered from the shows, although I would have thought that it would have been your neck that hurt more than the legs with having to keep looking up at Dean!!!
    Best wishes

  11. Hi Julia, saw you demo this one and loved how you used all the dies, truly inspirational! Always find male recipients difficult to cater for but this would definitely fit the bill! TFS Christine H x
