Many Thanks

Hi Bloggers.

Today I have another Spellbinders card to share. This card came quite easily until I had to find something to put on my Baker's Twine bow. I must have spent over an hour faffing about with various things until I came to the final result.

I drew around the middle size of the Spellbinders Labels Nineteen die onto some khaki card to give myself an idea of where to stamp. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Sincere Sentiments Stamp Set using Olive Archival and I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I then stamped the motif from the Creative Expressions Vintage Lingerie Stamp Set again using the Olive Archival and embossed with the clear powder. I then re-positioned the die on top and cut out.

I cut out a khaki and a dark green motif from the Spellbinders Persian Motifs Die Set. I cut out 2 corners in khaki and 2 corners in dark green from the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Accents die set.

I mounted the backing paper (My Mind's Eye Lost & Found) onto some khaki card and wrapped some green baker's twine from the Creative Expressions Earthtones Baker's Twine Set around it. I made a bow with the same twine.

The flower is made using the smallest 4 sizes from the Spelbinders Rose Creations die set. Before removing the card from the dies, I stamped a sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using the Olive Archival. The Texture stamp set would be better suited for this but as it's not on the show that this is a sample for, I had to use a sentiment instead. I curled the petals and glued them together with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue adding a brad from by stash. The leaves are also from the Rose Creations set. I used the Small Polka Dot Mask at the emboss stage.

The card was assembled as shown. Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  4. Hurrah!! Another 'faffer'! It adds a ridiculous amount of time to a project but boy, the results have been worth it Julia. Love the khaki and I've never thought of embossing the rose creation leaves. Looks so good. Thanks for sharing, hugs, Buttons x

  7. Hi Julia,
Wonderful card and love the colours although it looks more like ivory and dark green on my pc. I used the moroccan accent corners like you have on a card that i made but interlaced them.
Fantastic card and have a great day
