Today I'd like to introduce you to Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter. I have it on my shows for the Pick of the Week. It's extremely fine glitter - like dust. The more you rub it, the less it sheds. It feels very smooth and almost velvet-like (wish we had touch-a-vision!). Use it with Double Sided Adhesive Sheets. You can stamp on it, glitter die cuts, run through an embossing folder, stamp and emboss on it, use mica powders on it and alcohol pens. Very versatile. I'm hoping to be able to do a demo a day using it.

Here's today's card -

The background was made my putting a double sided self adhesive sheet on to a piece of card and then removing the other sticky layer. I lightly dusted the Leaves Mask with an anti-static bag and placed it on top of the sticky. I added Penny Copper Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter and rubbed it into the adhesive with my fingers. It's important that you do this rather than just tapping the glitter off as you get a better coverage this way. Once happy, I rubbed all the glitter off the mask and removed it from the adhesive. I then rubbed Golden Sand Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter into the gaps. I really rubbed it in - as I said the more you rub it - the less it sheds.

I stamped the Daisy Swirl  and the sentiment (from the Creative Expressions Singles Stamp of the same name) using Perfect Medium and embossed with Copper Cosmic Shimmer Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also inked the centre of the flower with Vintage Photo.

I made a flower using the backing die from Spellbinders Die D-Lites Medallion 7. I cut 3 in Milk and 3 in Rust Card. I spritzed each piece with water then scrunched it up. I opened them all out and then layered them on top of one another alternating the colour. I pierced the centre with a brad and then one by one scrunched them back up into the centre. I spritzed the flower with Copper Mica made up from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics Mica Spray Set.

I pressed a Metal Corner into the Perfect Medium Ink Pad and added Cosmic Shimmer Copper Detail Embossing Powder. I tapped off the excess and heat set.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Dark Bronze around the edges.
