A Perfect Day

Hi Bloggers.

I don't think I've shared this card before - it's from the Pick of the Week that we did in July and features the Spellbinders Pinwheels Die Set.

I ran some Tan card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Ornate Diamonds Embossing Folder. I inked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I cut 5 of the individual spotty 'petal' dies out of Kraft Core and sanded them a little to reveal the core. I folded the thinner piece of the die cut over and popped a Creative Expressions Antique Copper Faux Screw Brad through the holes. I folded the other 4 'petals' in the same way and added them to my brad. I then fanned them out and opened up the arms of the brad to secure in place.

I stamped the sentiment from the Studio 490 Sentimental Art Stamp Set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two and inked through the die with Vintage Photo.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Key Charm and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Choco Brown.

I'm off to visit Kathryn in Portsmouth today - really looking forward to seeing her again.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  2. Good Morning Julia,
The pin wheel die I have used to make flowers most of the time, this is a simple card suitable for the males, which is always difficult in my world, lol. Have a great day today with your daughter.

  6. Lovely autumnal card. I didn't know the glue was available in brown. Browns and creams seem to be my colours of choice. Must look out for those

  16. HI Julia. Hope you have/had a good day in Portsmouth with Kathryn. My grand-daughter is in her first year at Bath and we're missing her lots already. Lovely autumn colours in this card but can't say the dies have tempted me. However, had a bit of crafters block with a card for a friend who will be 70 soon and have now taken inspiration from your metal/alcohol ink background. So - thank you.
