Gilded Paper Cuts Jingle Bells

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I started by popping a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the plain circle die from the Paper Cuts Jingle Bells Die Set from it. I trimmed just a little from the outside edge. I cut the Jingle Bells die and the plain circle die together out of Graphite Pearl Card. I removed the backing sheet from the circle die cut and added my Jingle Bells die cut. I added CS Egyptian Gold Gilding Flakes to the exposed adhesive, removing the excess with a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I cut the decorative circle die from the Paper Cuts Turtle Doves Die Set out of Graphite Pearl Card.

For my background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Ice Crystals Embossing Folder. I matted onto Graphite Pearl Card and then another piece of Coconut White Card.

I cut one of the corners from the Paper Cuts Tutle Doves Die Set out of Graphite Pearl Card 4 times and added them to the corners of my background.

I finished my card by adding CS Gold Twinkles around the edges, to the centre of the bow corners and to the holly in the Jingle Bells centre.

Paper Cuts Noel Rudolf in Black & White

Hi Bloggers.

Hope you managed to catch some of the Paper Cuts One Day Special shows and get some lovely goodies. I have a busy week ahead of me - planning for September's shows, I've 6 workshops to plan, I have 3 month's worth of accounts and VAT to do and I really must cut the lawn (dandelion patch!) and do some washing and housework. Goodness knows how I'm going to fit it all in as I have shows on 14th, 23rd and 24th September and Ally Pally too! Oh well! I can rest when I'm 6 foot under!

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Black Card using the Creative Expressions Nordic Tiles Embossing Folder. I matted onto Coconut White Card and then another piece of Black Card. I cut one of the corner designs from the Paper Cuts Turtle Doves Die Set out of Coconut White Card 4 times and added them to the corners of my background using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

I cut the Paper Cuts Noel Rudolf out of Coconut White Card. I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Black Card and cut the plain circle die from the Turtle Doves Die Set. I removed the backing sheet and added Black Micro Beads. I cut the decorative circle die out of Coconut White Card. I added the 2 circle die cuts to my background using 1mm Woodware Foam Tape. I added CS Glue around the micro beaded die cut and around the edges of my background and then sprinkled CS Iced Snow over. I glued Rudolf on top.

Easy! Change the colour of card and micro beads for a different look. Add Glitterbitz or Gilding Flakes for a change.

Paper Cuts One Day Special continues today

Hi Bloggers.

As this post goes live I should just arrived at Hochanda to get ready for my first show of the day at 7am to the Netherlands. Do try and watch online at hochanda.nl or on Facebook as the demos are different to the UK demos and I explain everything in English. UK shows are at 9am, 1pm and 5pm.

I have a card and a tag for you today. Here's the card - not in traditional colours for Christmas but very elegant and with the variations in the die set, you can make it for many occasions.

I started by popping a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the 4 plain central dies from the Paper Cuts Festive Cornucopia Die Set from it. I then cut the tree die pair out of Antique Gold Pearl Card twice and the present pair out of Graphite Pearl Card twice. I removed the backing sheets and added my decorative die pieces. I added Cosmic Shimmer Midnight Sparkle Glitterbitz to the gold ones and Cosmic Shimmer Sahara Gold Glitterbitz to the graphite ones.

I cut the plain circle die out of Antique Gold Pearl Card and the decorative circle die out of Graphite Pearl Card. I stacked all my die cuts up as shown using Woodware 1mm Foam Tape and added a Bronze Vintage Button to the centre.

I cut a piece of Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and a mat out of Graphite Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Squares Set B. I popped these onto another pieceof Antique Gold Pearl Card.

I cut one of the corner dies from the Festive Conucopia Die Set out of Graphite Pearl Card 4 times and added them to my card using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

Here's the Tag -

I cut the largest die in Sue's Pierced Tags Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I used the waste from cutting the 6 snowflake dies in the Paper Cuts Let it Snow Frame and dabbed through it with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide using a Smoothie. I distressed the edges of my tag using a Woodware Edge Crimper and then inked around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide.

I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the outer die from the Paper Cuts Merry Christmas Santa Bauble from it. I cut all 3 of the inner dies with the outer die out of Coconut White Card. I retained the face section and the trim and bobble from the hat. If you're very careful, you can keep the waste Merry Christmas for another project (there's one in the Gallery). I peeled away the backing sheet from my outer die cut and added my decorative die cut and put aside for a moment. I cut the moustache die out of Coconut White Card.

I scribbled some Tattered Rose Distress Marker onto my Craft Sheet and picked it up using a Water Brush to paint the nose and the face. I added Woodware Fluffy Stuff to the moustache, hat trim and hat bobble and heated it.

I inserted the face, hat trim and hat bobble into the exposed adhesive on my main piece. I carefully sprinkled CS Periwinkle Glitterbitz into the hat and sentiment sections. I added a 3mm Black Pearls to the eyes and glued on my moustache piece.

I popped a little Adhesive Sheet onto Coconut White Card and cut 3 of the snowflakes in the Santa Bauble Set and the reinforcement ring from the Tag Set from it. I added these to my tag as shown.

I finished by adding some May Arts Sheer Iridescent Ribbon and a 3mm White Pearl.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or While Stocks Last. Discount will be applied automatically at checkout. Please note : the Paper Cuts Dies are Special Order items and are subject to availability. Please allow 7-10 for dispatch of orders containing them.

Paper Cuts One Day Special today

Hi Bloggers.

Today's the day that I launch the new Paper Cuts One Day Special on Hochanda. It launches at 6pm, then there's another show at 8pm (not on Freeview but available on Sky, Freesat, online at hochanda.com and Facebook live). Shows continue at 7am (Netherlands and online at hochanda.nl and Favebook live - worth tuning in as they're different demos and I speak English all the time as I know no Dutch), 9am, 1pm and 5pm.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Nordic Tiles Embossing Folder. I matted onto Brunswick Green Card, then Rich Red Card and another piece of Coconut White Card.

I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card and cut the plain circle die and the decorative outer die together from the Paper Cuts Jingle Bells Die Set.

I cut the Jingle Bells Die and the plain circle die out of Brunswick Green Card. I trimmed my Double Sided Adhesive circle die cut, just a little. This makes it easier when adding to the decorative die cut. I added CS Apple Red Glitterbitz to the exposed adhesive.

I cut just the holly leaf section of the Jingle Bells die again. I trimmed it and shaped it and added it to my main die cut.

I removed the backing sheet from my outer frame and added CS Sahara Gold Glitterbitz.

I cut one of the corner dies from the Paper Cuts Turtle Doves Die Set out of Brunswick Card 4 times and added them to my card. There is a holly corner in the Jingle Bells Die Set but, obviously the corners can be used on anything. All the frames are interchangeable too. It's a very versatile bundle.

I completed my card by adding some CS Apple Red Twinkles to the holly and the frame.

I have uploaded photos of the samples to the Gallery Section of this Blog and to my Julia Watts Crafts Facebook Page.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or While Stocks Last. Discount will be applied automatically at checkout. Please note : the Paper Cuts Dies are Special Order items and are subject to availability. Please allow 7-10 for dispatch of orders containing them.

Freebie Friday is having a break this week - it will be back next week.

See you later.

Paper Cuts Bauble Duo Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

I have another sneak peek for you today from Friday's Paper Cuts One Day Special. Now, if you like bling on your cards, I have to tell you there's an awful lot of it on the shows. This does mean that I can hopefully show you lots of options to use with the dies - great for batch making but a bit less boring if you vary the blingy bits!

I'm launching 8 of the colours of the new Cosmic Shimmer Gitterbitz on the shows. Glitterbitz are made up of 3 different sizes of Glitter which is brilliant as you get lots of sparkle but with the smallest particles, all the gaps are filled in when adding to Double Sided Adhesive. I have used a couple of the colours of Glitterbitz on this card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card with the Creative Expressions Nordic Tiles Embossing Folder. I matted onto Midnight Blue Pearl Card.

I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the outer dies from the Paper Cuts Merry Christmas Bauble Duo Die Set out of it and the star corner from the Paper Cuts Jingle Bells Die Set 4 times.

I cut each pair of dies from the bauble die set out of Coconut White Card. I removed the backing sheet from the plain baubles and added my decorative die cuts. I added CS Periwinkle Glitterbitz to the exposed adhesive on one bauble and Silver Chrome Glitterbitz to the other.

I added Woodware 2mm Foam Tape to the back of my baubles, added some Baker's Twine through the loop and wrapped it around the back of my card. I added a Baker's Twine bow to each bauble.

I matted my card onto Coconut White Card.

I added CS Periwinkle Glitterbitz to my star corners and added them to my card using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

I ran some CS Glue around the edges of my card and then added CS Silver Chrome Glitterbitz and put aside to dry.

You may find that some of the finer glitter particles stick to your card when sprinkling over the glue. Don't panic - wait till the glue is dry and remove with a soft brush. I have a mica brush that I use just for this purpose. Also, if you don't like the loss of definition of some of your fine detail die cuts, use Polished Silk Glitter instead. The colours are the same for both products (where the name is the same - there is no Frosted Sparkle, Midnight Sparkle or Blue Gunmetal in Polished Silk).

Thanks for stopping by.

Gilded Turtle Doves Paper Cuts Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, I have a sneak peek today from the Paper Cuts One Day Special that I'm launching on Hochanda on Friday at 6pm.

This card features the Paper Cuts Turtle Doves Die Set.

I started by adding a piece of CE Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Coconut White Card. I removed the other backing sheet and then added CS Egyptian Gold Gilding Flakes. I removed any excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I cut the Turtle Doves (dies #1 and #2 together) out of my Gilded background. I cut die 2 out of Coconut White Card and glued the 2 die cuts together using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

I cut one of the corner dies from the same die set out of my Gilded background 4 times.

For my background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White with the Creative Expressions Nordic Tiles Embossing Folder. I dusted with Anti-Static Bag and added CS Clear Perfect Medium Pen around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler. I added CS Pharoh Gold Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set.

I matted onto a couple of pieces of Coconut White Card and added my centre piece using Woodware 2mm Foam Tape. I added my corners using CS Glue in a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator.

I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek.

Woodware Nativity Silhouette Two-fer

Hi Bloggers.

I have a couple of simple cards for you today featuring the Woodware Nativity Silhouette Stamp Set.

Here's your first card -

The background is a mopped up waste ink background on Coconut White Card with Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides. Inked around the edges with Faded Jeans. Dusted with Anti-Static Pad then a couple of the stamps from the Vintage Nativity Silhouette Stamp Set stamped using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Mirage Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder. Sentiment stamped with Onyx Black Versafine and embossed with CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. Matted onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Here's your second card -

For this one, I dusted Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Pad. I stamped several of the images from the Woodware Nativity Silhouette Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. Next, I folded the card several times, turned it over and folded some more. I spritzed with water and then brayered Faded Jeans and Iced Spruce Oxides over - very important : don't put a wet brayer into your ink pad! I removed excess ink from the images using a piece of Kitchen Roll.

Once dry, I cut out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Background Rectangles and cut a mat out of Black Card using the next sized die in the set.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. I added Faded Jeans and Iced Spruce Oxides using Smoothies and removed excess ink with Kitchen Roll. I cut out using a die from the Justrite A2 Card Front Basics and matted onto Black Card. I added it to my card using CE Mounting Cushion.

Lisa Horton is continuing with her One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. The stamps are exclusive to Hochanda until the end of the week. I'm offering 10% discount on the other items from the shows that I have on my website. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied automatically at checkout.

I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek from the Paper Cuts One Day Special that I'm launching at 6pm on Hochanda on Friday.
