Here's today's card -
For the background, I started by cutting Sue Wilson's Classic Weaving Die out of Coconut White Card and ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I cut Sue's Striped Weaving Die out of Aqua Card and out of Custard Card. I glued the Custard die cut, just at the ends, to the Aqua one, setting it to fill in the gaps. I split the striped piece into strips 4 wide - 1 aqua, 2 custard, 1 aqua. I wove these through the Classic die cut.
I made a frame out of Custard and Aqua Card using Sue's Ornate Pierced Squares Die Set. I added it to my woven background using 3D Foam and trimmed away the excess using scissors.
I cut die #4 from Sue's Madeleine Die Set out of Custard Card. I cut dies #3 and #4 from the same set out of Aqua Card and glued the 2 die cuts together. I cut the Justrite Happy Birthday Sentiment Die out of Coconut White Card.
I cut Sue's Daisy Cluster Die Set out Coconut White and Custard Card. The centres are cut from Aqua Card using a die from Sue's Exquisiste Poppy Die Set.
I completed my card, adding some mats of all the colours of card used and some 8mm White Pearls.

ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Julia,,
ReplyDeleteI know that you have made this into a birthday card flower but those colours and the design would make a beautiful baby card, as the wicker work of the background could be the baby;s crib or moses basket, the frame around the top, the edging of it. A bonnie card Julia and i think i might finally drag out these dies and have a go. Thank you flower for a bonnie card that just inspires,
love and crafty
