You're So Special

Hi Bloggers.

Back from the Trade Show. Lots of new goodies will be appearing on my website in the next few weeks! Lisa Horton's new stamps are due in today - I'll get them added to my website as soon as I can. I'll be spending today getting caught up with my website orders (hopefully!).

Here's today's card -

I started by creating a couple of Pixie Powder backgrounds - I misted 2 pieces of Coconut White Card with water. On one piece, I sprinkled over Straw Yellow Pixie Powder and on the other I sprinkled Emerald Green Pixie Powder over. I put both pieces aside to dry.

I stamped the Woodware Old Letter Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival.

I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I inked the deboss die (#5) from Sue Wilson's Classic Adorned Rectangles with Clear Perfect Medium using a Brayer. I added it inked side down to the dusted side of the card and added dies #4 and #6. I ran it through using the cut sandwich only. The ink transferred to the deboss pattern. I sprinkled Straw Yellow and Emerald Green Pixie Powders over and spread the powder around using a Soft Brush. I removed as much of the excess as possible using a dry wetwipe. I then spritzed with water to wake up the powders. Once dry, I added it to my stamped background using 3D Foam Tape and trimmed away the excess using scissors.

I matted onto Coconut White Card, then Black Card and added to a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the Woodware Tulip Patch onto my PP backgrounds using Jet Black Archival and cut them out. I added them to the letter background.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Special Bird Stamp Set onto my Straw Yellow Background and cutit out using Justrite A2 Card Front Basics Die Set,

I finished my card by adding a Small Black Circle Dazzler to the corners.

The winner of the card from Freebie Friday on 17th February is...................

  10. Pretty card. Did enjoy learning the new technique of embossing and using pixie powders on your Hochanda show when I finally caught up with it last week. Another method for my note book!
