Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I spritzed a piece of Coconut White Card with water and then added some CS Peacock Green and Golden Mint Pixie Powders. I usually leave it to dry naturally but I wanted a lighter finish on this card so I ran a Kitchen Roll over it - this removes some of the mica (which is why I prefer to leave it to dry naturally). There is still some shine left, though it;s hard to show in a photograph.
I made sure it was completely dry and then stamped the Justrite Text Background using Coffee Archival. I made sure the ink was completely dry and dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped some elements from the Justrite Floral Silhouettes One Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Mirage Embossing Powder. I trimmed the background down and edged with Basil Leaf Colour Cloud using a Smoothie.
I stamped my favourite sentiment of the moment from the Justrite Circle of Friends Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I used Sue Wilson's Australian Collection to cut it and the Black Mat out (can't remember which ones and I forgot to write it down!). I edged the sentiment with Basil Leaf Colour Cloud.
I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
Lisa Horton is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm
with some gorgeous new Christmas stamps and some absolutely fabulous alcohol marker pens from Graphmaster. I am offering 10%
discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them
here.
Offer valid till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount
will be applied at checkout.
Thanks for stopping by.

Friends Warm the Heart
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Couture Creations Passion Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design - it's not a repeating pattern but the join is not visible.
I popped some CS Flake & Glitter Glue onto a piece of Wax Paper. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and used it to ink up the Justrite Blooming Vines Stamp Set. I stamped it onto Coconut White Card leaving the stamp on the card no more than 3 seconds so as not to tear the card. I cleaned my stamp under a cold tap and then went back to my stamped image. I added CS Harvest Moon Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit. I cut it down into 3 pieces and matted onto Antique Gold Pearl Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Circle of Friends Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite A2 Butterfly Garden Dies. I also cut the butterfly wreath from the same set out of Antique Gold Pearl Card. I cut a mat out of Antique Gold Card using Sue Wilson's Melbourne Die Set.
I made a flower out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Camellia Complete Petals Die Set. I added some CS Glue and CS Iced Snow. I cut a pair of leaves out of Anitque Gold Card using Sue's Laurel Leaves Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding a 5mm White Pearls to each corner and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Circle of Friends Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut the next sized die in the set out of Black Card.
I cut the 2 largest dies in the set together out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die and around the edges with Crimson Kiss Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I cut the largest die only out of Black Card and glued the 2 die cuts together.
On Coconut White Card, from the Justrite Multi-Step Poppies Clear Stamp Set I stamped 1a 3 times and 3a twice using Jet Black Archival. I then stamped 1b and 3b on top using Crimson Kiss Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I stamped 1c and 3c on top using Scarlet Woman Colour Cloud, again applied using a Smoothie. Finally, I stamped 1d and 3d on top using Onyx Black Colour Cloud, again applied using a Smoothie. I cut them all out using scissors. I added some leaves cut from Black Card using Sue's Maidenhair Fern Die Set.

You are in my thoughts
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I embossed a piece of Black Card using the Couture Creations Large Circles Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added the frame to my background using 3d Foam.
I popped some CS Flake & Glitter Glue onto a piece of Wax Paper. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and used it to ink up the image from the Justrite Meadow Circles Stamp Set. I stamped it onto Black Card leaving the stamp on the card no more than 3 seconds so as not to tear the card. I cleaned my stamp under a cold tap and then went back to my stamped image. I added CS Aurora Lights Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit. I cut it to size using Justrite Stitched A2 Banners & Rectangles Dies.
I cut the largest 2 dies together from Sue Wilson's Melbourne Die Set out of Coconut White Card twice. I scored them, cut along one score line to the centre and folded mountain and valley folds. I glued the 2 together and added my Meadow Circle to the centre using 3d Foam.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium onto Black Card and embossed with CS Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite A2 Card Front Basics Die Set and cut another die from the same setout of Coconut White Card.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm Black Pearls to the corners.
For the Bank Holiday weekend, I'm offering 10% discount on everything on my website. Offer applies till midnight Monday evening (29th August). Discount will be applied at checkout. So, stock up on essentials, Christmas crafting and consult your wish list!
I managed to order some of John Lockwood's new stamps late yesterday afternoon. They are available to pre-order on my website here. Dispatching from Wednesday 31st August.

Thinking of You
Hi Bloggers.
I finally caught up with all my website order backlog yesterday - a good feeling, I can tell you. Thank you all for being so patient. Too hot to do much else other than the post and sit on my pc yesterday. Needless to say, I didn't tidy my Craft Room - I haven't even emptied my bags from the Studios. At least I didn't have to do any prep yesterday. I have a little gap from TV till 26th September but I'll still be busy.
I have a few dates for your diary -
I have a Christmas themed workshop at Yardley Gobion (just outside Milton Keynes) on Saturday 24th September (date change). We'll be doing a mix of stamping and die cutting. It's £40 for the day - you can book now via my website here.
I am also doing a Christmas themed workshop at CE HQ on Wednesday 21st September. Again, we will be doing a mix of die-cutting and stamping. They will be different projects to the workshop in Yardley Gobion. Bookings are not being taken for this just yet as I haven't designed the projects yet but you can register you interest with Tracey Laughton either by phoning her on 01536 481 778 or emailing her at tracey@creative-expressions.uk.com.
Looking a little further ahead, I am running a Backgrounds Masterclass at Yardley Gobion on Saturday 15th October (book here) and a Stamping Masterclass (by request) at CE HQ on Wednesday 12th October (booking now being taken by Tracey - see contact details above). I have also booked the hall at Yardley Gobion on Saturday 29th October for a Christmas Playdate - on this day, I will bring my Christmas Dies and Stamps and you can use them to your hearts content (but share nicely!) to really crack on with your Christmas Card Making. You can book here for that - just £15 for the day.
Of course, we have Ally Pally on 17th and 18th September - don't forget, if you're a Hochanda Freedom Member you can get the tickets half price! They're reasonably priced anyway so do consider going - it's a lovely venue and some great retail stands plus Hochanda will be broadcasting live from there again.
I'm also demoing at Phill Martin's new shop in Sheffield on Sunday October 9th - that should be fun!
Right, I'd better get on with sharing a card -
This card was inspired by the Justrite Stampers Blog - well worth a visit. I started by stamping the Justrite Text Background onto Coconut White Card using Coffee Archival. I made sure it was dry and then dragged a Frayed Burlap Distress Ink Pad across it to make it a bit distressed (surprisingly!). I then inked around the edges with Scarlet Woman Colour Cloud using a Smoothie.
On a separate piece of card, I stamped 1a and 3a from the Justrite Multi-Step Poppies Clear Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival twice each. (Acutally, it's not necessary to stamp 1d as it's hidden but it's good practise just in case you change your mind and use the image in a different way.) I cut the flowers out by hand using scissors and stacked the 3 images on top of the 1's.
I stamped the leaves directly onto my background - I stamped the stem (6) using Basil Leaf Colour Cloud, leaves 8a and 7a using Olive Archival, 8b and 7b on top using Chic Moss Colour Cloud and then 8c and 7c on top using Basil Leaf Colour Cloud. I added my flowers to the top of the stems.
The sentiment is from the Justrite Meadow Circles Clear Stamp Set. I stamped it using Jet Black Archival and cut it out using a die from the Justrite Four in a Square Die Set. I inked around the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and Scarlet Woman Colour Cloud. I cut a mat from Black Card using Sue Wilson's Melbourne Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm Black Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat. I inked my Coconut White mats the same way as my background.

Live Your Dream
Hi Bloggers.
A day of catching up today and chores. Must tidy by Craft Room a bit too!
Here's today's card -
Bit of a nightmare to photograph this one because of the Black Gloss Card!
The background is the Caught in Crystal Technique - a piece of Heat Emboss Acetate, I trailed some CS Clear Varnish Lacquer over it and then added Alcohol Inks in Poppyfield, Sunset Orange and Sunshine Yellow. I sprinkled over some Bronze Blush CS Pixie Powder and some Frosty Dawn CS Diamond Frost. I scrunched up a piece of White Tissue Paper, opened it out and added it to my background, tapping it down using a piece of Kitchen Roll. I put it aside to dry (approx 4 - 5 hours).
I cut a frame out of Black Gloss Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Background Rectangles. I cut the border die from the Spellbinders Venetian Accents Die Set out of Bright White Card and added to my frame. Once my background was dry, I added my frame using 3D Foam and trimmed away the excess.
I cut the mask die from the Venetian Accents Die Set out of Black Gloss Card. I cut the large motif from the Spellbinders Venetian Motifs Die Set out of Bright White Card and inked through the die with Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud using a Smoothie.
I stamped the sentiment from the Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 Live & Make Art Stamp Set onto Bright White Card. I trimmed the sentiment down and edged with Chic Pumpkin Colour Cloud.
I completed the card by matting onto Bright White Card and then onto Gloss Black Card.
Thanks for stopping by.

More One Day Special Shows on Hochanda today
Hi Bloggers.
Spellbinders Sale One Day Special continues on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I hope you can join me..
I have a simple two-fer to share with you today
I started by cutting the inner die only of the border die from the Spellbinders Octagon Strips & Accents Die Set, at both sides of a piece of Bright White Card. I folded and tucked and matted onto a piece of Aqua Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Circle of Friends Stamp Set (should still be on the Hochanda website at intro price) onto Bright White Card using Watering Can Archival and cut it out using Spellbinders Venetian Motifs. I cut another of the same die out of Aqua Card and glued them together offsetting them.
I assembled the card as shown adding Single White Pearl Strip around the edges and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat. I decided not to add any pearls to the die cuts as I felt it might be too much if I did.
The second part of your two-fer is a gift bag -
I used John Lockwood's method to make the bag -
I'll demo the bits to cut away and how to fold it in the 9am show today.
I cut the border from the Spellbinders Venetian Accents Die Set out of Aqua Card, cut it in half and added half to the front and half to the back of the gift bag.
I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Venetian Motifs Die Set out of Aqua Card twice and glued them together, offsetting them as I did on the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Meadow Circles Stamp Set onto Bright White Card. I cut it out using a small die from the Venetian Accents Die Set. I cut the die again and glued the 2 together offsetting them and added the sentiment in the centre.
I punched some holes in the top and added some Blue White American Seam Binding. I finished off by adding some 5mm White Pearls.
I'm not stocking any of the Spellbinders dies on the shows as I just can't match the prices on Hochanda but I'm offering 10% off other products I have in stock on website. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.
I'll see you at 9am!
Thanks for stopping by.

On an A4 piece of Brilliant White Card – score at 2cm, 4cm, 14cm, 16cm, 18cm
and 28cm
This creates all the score lines you need across the
landscape card. Turn the card so it is portrait and then score at 4cm.
