One Day Special Continues today

Hi Bloggers.

My Spellbinders One Day Special continues today on Hochanda with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm.

I hope you're liking the new Art Deco dies from Spellbinders. I have a step by step for you today with some of the dies and one of the the lovely papers from the Craft Consortium English Garden 12 x 12 Paper Pad.

I've used - Spellbinders S5-250 Astoria Labels and S5-254 Astoria Decorative Elements

Also - Spellbinders S4-589 Savoy Decorative Elements and S4-588 Savoy Decorative Accents

I cut die #2 from the Astoria Decorative Elements (where #1 is the smallest) and #2 from the Savoy Decorative Elements out of Coconut White Card. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Watering Can Archival and cut it out using #1 from the Astoria Labels. I cut dies #2 and #4 from the Astoria Labels out of a paper from the Craft Consortium 12 x 12 Paper Pad. Finally, I cut #1 die from the Savoy Decorative Accents out of the patterned paper 5 times.

When I've cut out all I need, I always arrange them on my craft sheet to work out the size of card to cut for a background.

For the 5 little die cuts, I scored them all across the centre using my Hougie Board.

I popped some CS Glue on one side of each of them

and then glued them all together.

I have embossed the background using a new Spellbinders Embossing Folder called Circles and Diamonds (SES-006). Sorry, it's not available yet - it's due in March. Watch this space!

I assembled the card as shown. I used some more patterned paper as one of my mats but I did cut the centre out of it to use in another project! I added White 8mm Pearls to the corners and pierced around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Hope you've liked this step by step. Hopefully, I will be demoing this in one of the shows today.

One Day Special on Hochanda this evening

I'm launching a Spellbinders One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with more shows tomorrow at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

This is a very simple card to construct.

I've used :

Watering Can Archival
Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Jade Colour Cloud
Smoothie
That Special Touch - A Touch of Class
Self Adhesive Pearls - White 3mm & 5mm
Card - Coconut White & Aqua
Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

For the background, I cut a piece of Coconut White Card to 5 3/4" Square and ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine using the emboss sandwich. Leaving the mask in place I pounced Frosty Jade Colour Cloud through the design using a Smoothie.

I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Lavish Sentiments stamp set onto Aqua Card using Watering Can Archival. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Savoy Decorative Elements Die Set and inked through the die with Frosty Jade. I cut the other 2 dies in the same set out of Aqua Card and inked through the dies with Frosty Jade.

I cut dies #2 and #4 (where #1 is the smallest) in the Savoy Labels Die Set out of Coconut White Card and inked through the dies with Frosty Jade. Then I stacked all the die cuts on top of each other as shown using 3d Foam. I love how the shape fits neatly into the frame created by the mask - very neat and tidy!

I completed the card by adding a few White Pearls and piercing around the edges.

Sneak Peek

I thought I'd start the sneak peeks for Sunday's shows so you can get a good idea of what's on the shows and to give you a bit of inspiration. You've already had one sneak peek on Sunday in this post.

Here's today's sneak peek -

For the background, I cut the Spellbinders Twisted Palm Die out of Coconut White Card 4 times. I added a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Duck Egg Card and trimmed it to 6 1/2" x 6 1/4".  I peeled away the other backing sheet and added my Twisted Palm die cuts as shown. I used the backing paper to make sure the borders were properly adhered. I then added CS Diamond Sprinkles.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments onto Coconut White Card using Watering Can Archival. I cut it out using the middle sized die in the Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accents Die Set and inked through the die with CS Phill Martin Chic Grey Blue Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I cut the largest die in the set out of Duck Egg Card.

I cut some leaves out of Duck Egg Card using Spellbinders Romantic Vines. I made 3 scrunched up flowers - 2 from the #1 die in the Spellbinders Savoy Labels Die Set and 1 from the #2 die. I cut 6 for each flower. I inked the tips of the 'petals' with Chic Grey Blue Colour Cloud.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I'm hoping that my stock of new Spellbinders Dies will arrive today or tomorrow - I'll let you know when they're loaded onto my website.

Phew! What a busy few days. Today is going to be spent getting my website orders posted, unpacking, washing, food shopping and if there's anytime left I'll be continuing with my prep for Sunday's One Day Special on Hochanda! Double Phew!

Here's today's card -

This card is made using Sue Wilson's Australian Background Die Set with the addition of a few flowers made using Sue's Sweetheart Flowers Die Set. I used Coconut White and Teal Card.

The sentiment is from Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments stamped using Cobalt Archival.

I added some White Pearl Corners and pierced around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

This card features a couple of brand new products from Cosmic Shimmer as well as new Justrite Stamps and Dies -

I started with a piece of Creative Expressions Watercolour Card. I spritzed it with water then added new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder in Scarlet Mist, Mango Blaze and Sun Yellow. The colour moves around the card in the water and, because there's mica in the powder, it shimmers too!

Once dry, I dusted it with my anti static bag and stamped the image from the Justrite Doodled Roses Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with new Cosmic Shimmer Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder in Anthracite. I cut it out using a die from the new Justrite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles Die Set.

I popped a little Scarlet Mist Pixie Powder onto my Craft Sheet and added water from my Water Brush. I used this to colour the roses. I popped some Golden Mint Pixie Powder onto my Craft Sheet, added water and used this to colour the leaves.

I cut the smallest rectangle from the new Justrite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles Die Set out of Black Card and matted my image onto it.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto some more of my coloured card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Anthracite Cosmic Shimmer Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder (remember to dust with an anti static bag first!). I cut it out using a circle die from the same Justrite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles Die Set and cut a Black mat using the larger circle die in the set.

For the background, I embossed a piece of Bright White Card using the new Creative Expressions Treasure Box Embossing Folder.

I tied a bow using Black Crochet Ribbon and added a Black Vintage Ribbon.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm Black Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I will be ordering the new Cosmic products and the new Creative Expressions Embossing Folders. I'll let you know as soon as they arrive.
