Hi Bloggers.
Sue & I are at the Papeterie in Aberdeen today and tomorrow. I'm demoing today while Sue does her workshops and then we swop over tomorrow.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I stamped the Justrite Sweet Lace Background using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped it a second time to extend the design.
I stamped the image from the Taylored Expressions Mixed Blooms Set, using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Classic Squares Large. I cut a Spellbinders Marvelous Squares out of Black Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 and cut a Spellbinders Labels 29 out of Black Card.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Black Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Bronze Vintage Button.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Julia, a beautiful card. Love the colour combination x
ReplyDeleteLovely card the background has turned out well and given the colours doesn't look oriental (which is usually what happens when I use these colours).
ReplyDeleteYou are on fire at the moment Julia with all your cards, they is always more to see in them and i love that they are technique rich.
ReplyDeleteMy friend had a lovely day with you in Northallerton on Thursday and hasn't stopped telling me all about it and making me jealous. Enjoy your day x

Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteWow... striking and, I think a unisex design. I haven't done red/ black/ gold for ages, a timely reminder as Mr Wheelybad has just arrived with some last minute orders for cards for men!
Have fun in Aberdeen. Sadly Suffolk seems to be a no go area for high quality paper craft workshops.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteSorry been AWOL for a few days! Scotland gave me a few issues with reception and I really struggled with your Blog for some reason. Sorry.
You have posted some lovely cards since I last commented . My favourite is one with a lovely blue bow from a few days ago! I think today's is a very elegant card not sure if it's red or pink but either way it works! The gold embossing is lovely,
Enjoy your visit to Aberdeen. We lived there when we were first married. It's a lovely city.
Safe travel to Glasgow for Monday.
Love Myra
