Lazy Daisy Day

Hi Bloggers.

Another day of workshops today at Creative Expressions HQ in Kettering. I believe that John Lockwood is coming along to hinder! Anything could happen!

This card is a little larger than I would have liked but I couldn't bare to cut down the gorgeous paper from Phill Martin's Decadent Damask 8 x 8 Paper Pad - I'm sure many of you know where I'm coming from on that!

Just love the corner design on this paper which is why I couldn't cut it down!

I stamped the frame and the sentiment from John Lockwood's Daisy Corner Elements Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival. I cut it out using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A and added a few dots of Phill Martin's Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Denim PVA to the bubbles on the image. I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Floral Assortment Die Set out of Coconut White Card and rubbed Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Denim Gilding Wax over the pretty edges of the die cut. I cut a Spellbinders 6 x 6 matting Basics A Die out of Cobalt Card.

I misted a piece of Blue White American Seam Binding with Decadent Denim Ink Spray Mist and once dry, I tied it into a bow. I tied a knot in a piece of White Tulle. I tied another bow out of a couple of lengths of Baker's Twine from the Primary Set. I filled a metal dazzler setting with Decadent Denim PVA. Once dry, I added it to my bows.

I made a couple of Decorative Stick Pins using Creative Expressions Stick Pin Elements.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

I am running a bit late today lol! Hope you had a fabulous workshop, despite John being there and hope he did not cause you too much trouble lol!!! Love the card and I know what you mean about the paper, I have that trouble all the time , the image on the paper is so nice you don't wish to lose any, good job they were only 8X8 and not 12X12!!!

  23. Hi Julia
What a pretty card I love the blue tones you have used. The blue PVA in the dazzler setting is a touch of genius I never would have thought of that- thank you for the inspiration... Must buy some dazzler settings now!
