Hi Bloggers.
Thanks for all your comments and emails yesterday - much appreciated, as always. Hope you checked out Sue's video on her blog yesterday - I thought it was brilliant! I'm sure there's lots more to come.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I randomly stamped one of the leaves from the Creative Expressions Autumn Blessings Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Detail Embossing Powder. I edged the piece with Terra Cotta Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I cut a piece of Self Adhesive Sheet the same width as the background, peeled the backing off and popped it on top of a piece of card. I peeled the other side of backing off and rubbed Cosmic Shimmer Red Speckle Gilding Flakes into it. I then ran it through the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Embossing Folder.
I stamped the Handbag from the Bags of Style Stamp Set using Terra Cotta Adirondack and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder, I cut it out using Spellbinders Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Terra Cotta. I added a 5mm Cream Pearl to the clasp and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Dark Bronze Pearlescent PVA to the detail on the handbag.
I stamped the sentiment from the Bags of Style Stamp Set, again using Terra Cotta and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using a Justrite Vintage Labels Four Die and inked through the die with Terra Cotta.
I assembled the card as shown adding a couple more pearls in the top corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Dark Bronze Pearlescent PVA around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hiya Julia,
ReplyDeleteFabulous shows yesterday & stunning card above!! I did email in yesterday morning with a photo of a card I made using the older stamps with leaves & a tree on (sorry I cant remember the name of it). I requested that, if you want it, you can keep the pic. I used the tree stamp with loads of leaves behind it, the sentiment to the right & real dried leaves, acorns & a conker in the bottom left corner.... Looks really good even though I say so myself.
I always love watching the shows when you are on as you explain the steps as you go along, making it a lot easier for those of us who are disabled (like me) or those who cant record the show. A question please - WILL YOU BE AT THE NEC IN NOVEMBER please???
Hello Julia, Stunning card, missed your shows yesterday, my loss, seems I missed a treat from other comments. Sue's video was fantastic, looking forward to tomorrow's

Just trying to work it out....am I cheaper buying handbags or the stamps? Think the stamps should win...more fun.
