Autumn - Sneak Peak

I thought I'd give you a sneak peak from Tuesday's shows a day earlier than usual. This card was inspired by Sue Wilson as she suggested I make a card with this background technique.

OK, so for the background, I used Coconut White Card. I dusted it with my anti static bag and stamped a couple of the leaves from the new Creative Expressions Autumn Leaves Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed them with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I them went over the whole area with Terra Cotta and Butterscotch Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I removed the excess from the stamped leaves with a piece of kitchen roll. Next, I crumpled the piece up. I opened it back out again and ran the Oregano Adirondack Dye Ink Pad over the peaks. Again, I removed any excess from the embossed leaves.

I cut an aperture out of the background using a Spellbinders 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops die. I kept the piece I cut out for another project (see tomorrow's post!).  I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Fauna Embossing Folder. I secured this to the backing card and then popped the background on top with 3d Foam Tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops and inked through the die with Butterscotch Adirondack. I cut 2 of the Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 and again inked through the dies with Butterscotch.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Light Brown Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a couple of Cream 8mm Pearls in the top corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.
