Fantasy Fuchsia

Hi Bloggers.

I call this my fantasy fuchsia because as far as I know, there aren't any blue fuchsias on the market. There are some mauve ones but not blue. I think they would be really pretty if there were.

For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti static bag and stamped the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background Stamp using Perfect Medium. I needed to stamp it a second time to cover my piece so, so I could see what I was doing, I added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder to the area I had already stamped an heat set. I used Sue's tip and made a little mark on the back of my card where the stamped area ended and this helped me line up the next section. After the whole background was stamped and embossed, I rubbed all over with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I removed the excess with a piece of kitchen roll.

I stamped the image and the 'FUCHSIA' stamp from the Summer Flowers Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Sapphire Ultra and Marine Aqua Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Luscious Greens Mica Spray Set and Golden Pear from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set.

I cut it out using Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Square out of Periwinkle Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls in the corners, a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  16. Good morning Julia and everyone.
Fab card. The background is lovely.
I have a couple of Delta Sarah and they are a bluey lilac rather than a true blue. They were late flowering this year so are still going strong now.
