Seasons Greetings

Hi Bloggers.

I had a great day with Phill yesterday. It was a bit hectic, very tiring but loads of fun! We're doing it all again on Sunday 22nd November (different projects). I'm not sure if there's any places left but contact Phill or Carol at Honeypot Crafts and they'll be able to tell you.

Loads to do at home today - ALOT of tidying up in my craft room, housework (maybe?), cutting the lawn (depends on the weather) and I've lots of products to store and parcel up for my website. Don't forget, 10% discount on all orders on my website till midnight tonight.

Here's today's card -

For the background, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Christmas Holly Background onto Milk Card using Forest Moss Distress Ink. I added a Cream Pearl Corner to each corner.

I cut a frame out of Milk and Brunswick Green Card using Sue Wilson's Ornate Pierced Design Noble Die Set.

I stamped the Creative Expressions Holly and Ivy Plaque using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Sue's Peeking Snowflake Die Set. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Carnival Brights Watercolour Paint Set and a Water Brush. I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Christmas Sentiments Collection, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder.

I tied a bow using Ivory/Green Striped Grosgrain. I made a flower out of Rich Red and Milk card using Sue's Classic Poinsettia and Classic Poinsettia - Open Petals Die Sets and added a Cream 8mm Pearl to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

John Lockwood has more shows on Hochanda with Sue Wilson Dies today. Looks like they're at 1pm, 3pm and 6pm.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  5. Hello Julia
Lovely card today. I love that lovely rich Brunswick Green card it has such lovely depth to the colour and looks great with the red of the holly berries.

I guess you will have crossed off the mowing! Living in the south I am, for one, quite pleased to see the rain at least my lawn is looking green again instead of a desert! But I guess it is par for a Bank Holiday Monday!!

Have a great day Julia whatever you decide to do.

  10. Hi Julia

Good to know that you had a lovely, albeit hectic day with Phil...thank you for sharing this fabulous card today, the Brunswick green is such a lovely colour & seems perfect for using on Christmas cards. Colouring also looks beautiful & the sentiment is quite regal & elegant.

Received my order from CE & I'm so glad that I asked for one of your original Julia Watts card when placing the order, (Mr & Mrs Vintage) it is really beautiful, elegant & the colours are so perfect for the design...Thank you so much Julia for the opportunity to own this card...will be framing it to hang on my craft room wall x

As much as you enjoy your crafting & as much as you have some chores to catch up on I hope you manage to get some you time today...

    Take care to all

  18. Hi Julia. Lovely card in nice traditional colours. If your weather is like ours then your grass won't get cut, one off the list. I have just had artificial lawn laid, ha ha, no cutting for me. Did confuse my visiting pheasant though. Just placed a small order on your site, my list grew a lot after yesterday! SueL x
