Hi Bloggers.
Back from a great weekend in Taunton. We met so many people! Back to prep again today.
Here's today's card - a simple little number from the August Toolshed.
For the background, I ran a piece of Khaki Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Checkerboard PinPoint Embossing Folder. I rubbed Black Soot Distress Ink over the surface using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the typewriter from the Justrite Just Typed Clear Stamp Set onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using scissors. I cut a Justrite Vintage Labels 8 Dies out of a patterned paper from the Creative Expressions Teresa Collins 8 x 8 Paper Pad.
I stamped the solid tag from the Justrite Typewriter Sentiments Clear Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I made sure the ink was dry then dusted it with my anti static bag. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 9 Die.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls and an Art Deco Metal Corner to one of the corners. I added some dots of Black Pearl Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA around the edges.
Phill Martin has shows today at 8am and 3pm with some gorgeous new stamps that I think I need!
I'll be back tomorrow to share a sneak peek from Thursday's shows.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, love this card, I was taught how to type on something similar to this and I can still do 100 words per minute (even at 67 years old), it is something that you never loose, so this card has special significance to me.
ReplyDeleteGlad your back from Taunton and had a good time.

Hello Julia, I never tire of this colour combo, however the typewriter reminds me of failure to master the thing, so much better these days still with one finger. Pleased you had a good time in Devon.
