Hello

Hi Bloggers.

A card from last week's Pick of the Day today -

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Peacock Pleasure Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Denim Adirondack using Cut n Dry Foam.

The sentiment is from the JustriteVintage Banners Clear Stamp Set and the frame is from the Justrite Ornate Happiness Squares Clear Stamp Set. I popped them both of my acrylic block, stamped using the Denim Adirondack Dye Ink and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ornate Squares and inked through the die with Denim Ink.

I popped a piece of Self Adhesive Sheet onto some Ivory Card (so I can tell which side to peel off) and cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Ornate Squares Die Set - don't emboss!. I peeled off the backing and added Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter in Brilliant Blue.

I stamped a couple of flowers from the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Flowers Pre Cut Set using Denim Adirondack and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Dies. I popped a piece of Self Adhesive Sheet onto some Ivory Card and die cut the same 2 flower sizes. I peeled the backing off and added Brilliant Blue Polished Silk Glitter. I cut some leaves using the Spellbinders Foliage die set, again from card with self adhesive on it. This time I added Sea Green Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Lots of you have asked about the Burgundy card used in yesterday's card. I have already had that in my Amazon shop. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. I did try and get it included in the Pick of the Day but there wasn't sufficient stock.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  9. Good morning Julia and everyone. A lovely card as usual. I've enjoyed playing with my foliage dies but think ornate squares may have to go on the want list. I get my burgundy card from Papermill Direct if that helps anyone.

Lol it's a real shame about the burgundy card as it was such a lovely shade, but thanks mrs Duck I will have a look at papermill direct. Hope the moves going alright!! Love Lesley x

  30. Hi Julia,
What a pretty card this is! Love the glittered ornate square and leaves and petals of the flowers, thanks for reminding me not to emboss the die cut with the sticky paper on the card as I've got the double sided sticky paper but not used it yet I'm a bit nervous to use it as yet but must get around to using it as it looks great.
I love the heartfelt creations stamped and die cut flowers they are beautiful.

    Best wishes from Katie-Louise

With regards to the card you used yesterday and had enquiries about if it helps I have had some that looks the same or almost the same from Papermilldirect.co.uk up here in the Lake District.
