Ruby Blush Blaze

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your emails yesterday and comments here on the blog. Here's a demo card from yesterday -

For the background, I popped the Butterflies Mask onto some Coconut White Card and inked through with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I then randomly stamped the hessian stamp from the Creative Expressions Butterfly Kiss Stamp Set using the Aged Mahogany and the the butterfly from the same stamp set using Barn Door Distress Ink. I wrapped a piece of White Crochet Ribbon around the background and also a piece of Tropic Wine American Seam Binding.

I stamped the main image using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Ruby Blush Blaze Embossing Powder from the Brights Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany.

I stamped the sentiment using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Ruby Blush Blaze Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by,

Julia.

  19. I like this one, perhaps it's because of the colour? Now I've watched your shows yesterday, I 'get' the zig zag trail of PVA for texture on the background!

  22. Hi Julia
You did really well yesterday with your cough as always you were great really enjoyed the shows especially when you told your co- host to shut up, even better when he did!
Your card today is just a bit too colourful for me being a white on white fan but love the design and layout of it.

  27. Hope you are feeling better Julia - this is a lovely card and could I think be used as an unusual sympathy card too as the sentiment is so apt. X
