A Thing of Beauty

Hi Bloggers.

Sue is launching some brand new Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies from CHA this evening on Create & Craft at 9pm. You can see a video on the Heartfelt Creations website which shows how to create some flowers from some of the products here. I shall be glued to the TV watching her even though she clashes with Sherlock! But that's what BBC iplayer is for! If there's any stock left then I will be doing some shows on Thursday.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I started by stamping one of the small flowers from the Justrite Black-Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five Stamp Set randomly using Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then I added some little bees from the same stamp set using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Endless Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the main image from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival. I coloured in using Distress Markers. I used Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Tea Dye and Crushed Olive. I cut it out using Spellbinders Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Five and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the Black-Eyed Susan flower head using Jet Black Archival and coloured in the same way as the main image. I tied a bow using Cream Satin Edged Organza.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Cream Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
