Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

Sorry about the reflection on the embossing powder.

Probably impossible to see but on the background I actually spritzed through the Patchwork Quilt Mask with Violet Frost Mica Powder (from the Garden Flora Set) which I had mixed with water in the bottle that comes in the pack. I dried it with my heat tool and then stamped around the edge using the Beaded Flourish Stamp using Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

I stamped the Delightful Lily using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Amethyst Mist Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and inked through the die with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I cut a Spellbinders Nobel Rectangle out of light mauve card using the 2 largest dies in the set and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Beaded Flourish using Perfect Medium and embossed with Amethyst Mist Lustre. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Gold Ovals One Die within a Classic Ovals Large Die. After embossing I removed the Gold Die and inked through the Oval Die with Dusty Concord. I cut a different Nobel Rectangle out of light mauve card and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I tied a bow out of White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Violet Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a White Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

You Are So Special

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used a piece of Foundations Floral Dream Paper. I cut a fancy aperture out of it using the largest of the Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles dies.

I stamped the Fishtail Frock using Jet Black Archival  and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Blue Lace & Blue Cotton from the Soft Velvet Set and Warm Delight from the Skin Tones Set. I cut it out using scissors and went around the edges with a black marker pen to hide any white bits. I cut my backer out using the 2 largest Nobel Rectangles, at the emboss stage I added the Trellis Mask. I inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped my sentiment that comes with the Vintage Dressform, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Blue Dazzler and a couple of Crystal Decorative Stick Pins.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Wanted to say Hello

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Sue's blog last week. Again, a very simple card to construct.

For the background, I inked through the Delicate Mask with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Extra Confetti Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dried Marigold using Cut n Dry Foam.

I made 2 frames out of apricot card using a couple of the dies from the Spellbinders Gold Squares One with a die from the Classic Squares Large either side.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Peach Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

To the World

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

Another really simple card - hopefully you will be able to see the lovely detail from the Gold Rectangles One dies on the pics.

The background is simply a piece of Coconut White Card run through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Extra Confetti Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Fired Brick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Classic Rectangles Large and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I placed the largest 2 Spellbinders Gold Rectangles Dies within a Spellbinders Grand Rectangle Die onto some Ruby Card and then cut & embossed them.

I made a flower using a die from the Spellbinders Standard Circles Large die set. There are 6 layers in this flower. I'm sorry, I just don't have time to record a step by step for the flowers - I have demoed them quite a few times on tv now and will try and include a demo using a different die set in one of my shows on 12th Sept. I stamped 2 of the leaves from the Heartfelt Creations Open Leaf Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Red Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Amazing!

Hi Bloggers.

So, the Crisscross die seems to have been really popular with everyone. Sorry, I won't be stocking any of the new dies in my Amazon Store as I just can't compete with the low prices some sellers sell their dies for. There are so many more sellers on Amazon selling craft products than there were when I started selling on there about 4 years ago. Lots of them are under-cutting me - but beware, they may catch you out on postage if you order more than 1 item. I shall be reviewing my sales and will have to decide whether it's still worth my while selling on there or if I should wind it down. I will, of course keep you posted.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I placed a couple of the Gold Ovals One Dies towards the left-hand side of a piece of Mauve Card and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the cut sandwich. I wanted to add some texture so, leaving the dies in place, I embossed with the A4 Tapestry Embossing Folder. It's very inportant that when embossing through the die, the folder is NOT closed. The sandwich you need for these folders is the base plate,  folder (open), card with dies cutting edge up, tan mat and raspberry plate. You may want to add a piece of card or 2 as a shim if the emboss is not deep enough. I rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the surface.

I stamped the Delicate Lily using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured the petals in using Violet Frost Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set. I coloured the leaves in using Soft Moss Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Ink from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large die and inked through the die with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Violet Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

A Special Something

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your orders from my Amazon Shop over the weekend - much appreciated.

Here's today's card -

The background has been created using the Spellbinders Crisscross Expandable Pattern Die. This die is such a lovely die to use - it cuts beautifully, is easy to line up to expand the design and the bits knock out of the die really easily. I popped some foundations patterned paper behind the design.

I stamped the Vintage Dressform using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Marine Sea Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the 2 largest dies in the Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles die set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I cut a backer out of foundations paper using just the largest die in the set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Marine Sea Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I made 3 little scrunched up flowers using the little flower die in the Pearl Effects set. I used 3 flower die cuts for each flower. I added some leaves cut from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set and some left over bits from some Pearl Swirls.

I assembed the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Friend

Hi Bloggers.

Well I managed to have a lie in but ended up with a bit of a migraine as a result! That'll teach me. I spent yesterday afternoon puttings lots of new stamps and embossing folders into my Amazon Store - details after today's card.

Here's today's card -

Another really simple card - beats my why they take me so long to make!

For the background, I stamped the Vintage Tapestry stamp using Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I needed to stamp it 4 times to cover the whole area. It's pretty easy to line up. I wrapped some Cream Crochet Ribbon around the right hand side. I ran a piece of Sand Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Cane Weave 3d M-Bossabilities Folder. I rubbed some Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over the top.

I stamped the Delightful Lily using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Superellipse and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I cut a Spellbinders Pearl Effects out of Sand Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Card Creator Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

As mentioned, I've popped lots of new stuff into my Amazon Store. There's some new Christmas Singles Stamps -

Joyous Santa

Reindeer Duo
Herald Angel
Whispy Christmas Tree
There are also 18 more To Die For Stamps to match the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament Die Sets. You can see all of them here.

I have re-stocked some of Sue's A4 Embossing Folders here.

The Elegance Collection from Couture Creations is in stock and it's just lovely.

Extra Confetti
Taylor
Extra Loren

Large Damask Flourish
Celebrate
Cheerful
I've added a new colour to the Lustre Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powders - Golden Mint, a lovely pale green.

There's lots of re-stocks so be sure to have a look
