Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my anti static bag and then stamped the flower spray from the Heartfelt Creations Recovery Wishes Stamp Set randomly using Perfect Medium. I added Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I then ran the piece through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder.
I stamped the sentiment image from the Heartfelt Creations Beautiful Juliet Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embosssed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25. I cut a Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 out of Soft Gold Card and glued it to a Spellbinders Labels 25 of the same size cut from Milk Card.
I made some flowers using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die - just one die cut per flower this time. I cut some leaves out of Soft Gold Card using the same die set.
I pressed a couple of Creative Expressions Art Deco Corners into a Perfect Medium Ink Pad, added Gold Detail Powder and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

I love this card, the colours are lovely xxxx
ReplyDeleteLove this card Julia, the gold is so soft and pretty. Still now managed to watch your shows that I recorded ;(
ReplyDeleteJulia can I pick your brains please (promise not to make a mess on your blog page) as my brain needs as much help as you can give - infact, fancy swapping ?
ReplyDeleteI have just 'inherited 2 dies (unfortunatly im embarassed to admit not SB dies) 1 is a set of snowflakes, and the other a holly/fer branch. Id love to use the double sided adhesive paper and 'twinkle' them up. I tried last night but suprise suprise it was a complete disaster - which is NO suprise where Im concerned (the glazier arrives soon as the Big Shot went through the window) !!
My version of accounts goes like this :-
Snowflake die > wax paper > adhesive paper> card stock to be used.
Disaster and blue walls !
Where did I go wrong ? Could it be that I had to pass it through lots n lots even with my 'homemade' shim it still didn't cut as I would have liked, but its not the cutting, its wondering if I put the dull side or gloss side of adhesive paper to the cutting edge of the die, or what, as Id also like to fight with my evil guilding flakes with these dies too.
Hope Ive explained my disaster enough for you to help me do it right, as when you explain things on C&C I tend to understand most of the time.
Hope Ive not taken up too much of your precious time (as I am the Queen of Waffle) !!
Thanks Julia or any Wattsonettes that come forward with help.

I'm afraid I can't really help as I don't have a Big Shot and I don't use dies which aren't made by Spellbinders (with just a few Couture Creations ones as an exception). With Spellbinders dies, it doesn't matter which side of the ds adhesive faces the cutting edge.
