Favourite Hello

Hi Bloggers.

Thank you gor all your good wishes yesterday. The migraines are at bay, still a bit tender but manageable. I do know my food triggers and I hadn't had any of those, I think I was just a bit stressed. I did go to see Beauty and the Beast at the cinema on Monday night - highly recommended if you love a good Disney musical. Made better by knowing all the words to the songs - though I did not embarass myself by singing along!

Here's today's card -

I started by spritzing a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I then sprinkled Plum Twist and Golden Mint CS Pixie Powder over the surface and out aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the Woodware Paris Collage using Clear Perfect Medium. I embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from Sue Wilson's Essential Rectangles Die Set and inked around the edges with Plum Cobbler CS Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I popped it onto a mat of Black Card.

For the background, I popped a little of the same 2 Pixie Powders onto a piece of copy paper and rubbed the Woodware Memories Stamp into the powder. I misted the stamp with water and stamped onto Coconut White Card. I repeated this process 4 times to completely cover my background. I inked around the edges with Plum Cobbler Colour Cloud. I matted onto Black Card and onto a Card Blank.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Warm Fuzzy Greetings onto a piece of my Pixie Powder background using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using another die from Sue's Essential Rectangles Die Set. I meant to ink around the edges but forgot 😒. I matted onto Black Card.

I completed my card, adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

  1. Morning Julia. I hope you are better today. This is the sort of card that I never pluck up the courage to try. I still haven't bought any Pixi powders! I really must give it a go, as this is another stunning card and shows their versatility after what you did with them yesterday as well.
    Thank you.

  22. Hi Julia, love the card today, it was real fun to play with the pixie powders on Saturday. Will have to get some more lighter colours at Ally Pally. Do try to take it easy in between shows and classes, I know not an easy thing to do but try. Glad you feeling little better.

  24. Hi Julia, glad to hear the migraines have settled down. They can be so frustrating - mine usually give me squiffy vision (without the alcohol - I know! I'm a cheap date, LOL). I love this card, but I am with Craftynetty - I'm too chicken to have a go yet ..... :-)
