Woodware One Day Special on Hochanda this evening

Hi Bloggers.

In case you don't know, I'm launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with some fabulous Woodware Stamps. I am so excited that Woodware are now part of the Creative Expressions family and that I get to do the first shows since they joined the family. I tried to choose a good cross section of stamps for the shows, sadly I couldn't bring all my favourites (far too many!) but I hope you love the selection as much as I do.

I have another three-fer for you today! With a flowery theme.

Here's your first card -

I started by spritzing a piece of Coconut White Card with water. I sprinkled with CS Straw Yellow Pixie Powder and put aside to dry. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the Woodware Cone Flower using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder.

I coloured in using Pixie Powders. I added a little Straw Yellow to a Palette and added some water to make a paint. I used this to colour the petals on the flowers. I then added a little Midnight Sky Mixer to the Straw Yellow to make a brown and coloured the centres of the flowers. I added a little Emerald Green Pixie Powder to another well in the Palette and added water to make a paint. I mixed in a little Midnight Sky Mixer Pixie Powder to make a darker green and used it to colour the leaves. I cut around the frame and matted onto Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Into the Woods Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium in the bottom left-hand side of a piece of Coconut White Card. I added CS Black Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I matted this onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Here's your second card -

This card features the Woodware Tulip Patch. This stamp lends itself to paper piecing really well. I've stamped it onto a piece of Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival and cut it out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares Set B. I stamped it onto some patterned papers from Phill Martin's Blossom 8 x 8 Paper Pad. I cut the pieces out and glued them onto the plain stamped image. I cut another Double Pierced Square out of the plain side of a paper from Phill's paper pad and popped bith layers onto a Coconut White Card blank.

On the inside of my card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Woodware Hand Drawn Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival.

Here's your third card -

For the background, I inked up the Woodware Old Letter Stamp with Chic Pumpkin, Chic Magenta and Chic Aubergine Colour Clouds applied using Smoothies. I stamped into Coconut White Card and inked around the edges with Chic Aubergine.

I made sure the ink was dry and then dusted with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the main image from the Woodware Bubble Flower : Curly Sue Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I matted onto Black Card and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I added CS PVA in Chic Magenta, Chic Aubergine and Chic Magenta to the circles on the stamped image.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout. Please be patient with me this week - I will try and drop some orders off at the Post Office on my way out today but I won't be able to get any more orders off till probably Wednesday as I'm obviously at the studios tomorrow and Tuesday is my Mom's birthday so I'm heading off to see her on that day. Many apologies if your order is delayed.

I've loaded photos of the samples I've made to the Gallery Section of this Blog and to my Julia Watts Crafts Facebook Page.

See you later.

Thanks for stopping by.
