Beauty of the Season

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Nordic Christmas Mask using the embossing sandwich - I positioned the plated slightly away from the edge of the mask as I wanted a larger background and didn't want a line from the outside edge of the mask. I moved the mask along my card and slotted the last row of the design back in place in the already embossed area and ran it through the machine again, making sure that the plates were set back from the edge of the mask that was now running across my card.

I popped some CS Flake & Glitter Glue onto a piece of Wax Paper. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and used it to ink up the Justrite Ribbons of Holly Background. I stamped it onto Rich Red Card leaving the stamp on the card no more than 3 seconds so as not to tear the card. I cleaned my stamp under a cold tap. I used my 'ink pad' and Flake & Glitter Glue to ink up the Justrite Stitched Holly Background and stamped onto Coconut White Card, again following the 3 second rule. I cleaned my stamp. I added CS Mulled Wine Gilding Flakes to my backgrounds. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I cut 3 panels from the red background, using the stamp design as a guide. I matted the panels onto Antique Gold Pearl Card and added them to my card using Mounting Cushion.

 I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Small Oval Christmas Tidings using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Justrite Joy Oval Frame Dies. I cut the next sized die in the set out of Rich Red Card and cut the largest die out of Antique Gold Pearl Card.

Going back to my white gilded background, I cut a couple of flowers out using the Justrite Multi-Step Poinsettia Dies. I coloured some 5mm White Pearls with Graphmaster Marker Pen 02 Old Red and added them to the centre of my flower.

I cut a pair of Sue Wilson's Pine Twigs out of Antique Gold Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls to the corners of the background and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
