One Day Special continues on Hochanda today

Hi Bloggers.

Spellbinders One Day Special shows continue today at 9am, 12noon, 4pmand 7pm - hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

I cut the main die in the Spellbinders Circle Contempo Decorative Accents Die Set out of one of the patterned papers in the Craft Consortium Wild Rose 12 x 12 Paper Pad, but at the same time I also cut a die from the Spellbinders Labels Fifty Die Set out of the centre. I cut the outside die from the Spellbinders Loopy Card Creator Die Set out of Bright White Card and added my Circle Contempo Die Cut using 3d Foam.

I used my Labels Fifty die cut and cut the #2 die from the Spellbinders Labels 50 Decorative Elements Die Set out of the centre. I glued the remainder of the Labels Fifty die cut back into the aperture in the Circle Contemp die cut and then added the Labels 50 Decorative Elements die cut using 3d Foam taking care to line up the pattern in the paper.

I stamped the sentiment from John Lockwood's Pierced Tag Senttiments Stamp Set onto Bright White Card using Watering Can Archival. I cut it out using #1 die in the Labels 50 Decorative Elements Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

I thought you might like to see the boards I did with all the dies on - they show the dies off much better than the packaging I think.

  16. Hi Julia
Wow, that die looks amazing cut out of patterned paper. A great idea showing the various die cuts, sometimes it is hard to imagine them from the packaging.

  17. I was given a pack of patterned card a few years back and have never used it, your samples are making me think about revisiting this pad although none of its contents comes up to the quality of the pad you have used. Lovely card using a very versatile set of dies. Enjoyed last night's show, now eating my breakfast waiting for the first of the today's selections. Have fun....... why tell you? I know you will!!!!!!

Lovely Card. Great dies and very pretty paper. Thanks for sharing.

  25. Hello Julia,
You certainly " sold" me the paper pad! It is really lovely. It's good to know that the colours tone beautifully with CE Foundation card stock as I love that! Shhhh! I've bought it from your shop though!! I thoroughly enjoyed last night's Show and will remember the tip about cutting out small elements with a little die! Very effective!
Thank you, I always learn a lot. Xxx
