Here's today's card -
For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Mini Poinsettia Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design - it's a repeating pattern so it's easy to line up.
I mixed a little Cosmic Shimmer Holly Green Sparkle Texture Paste with some Berry Red Sparkle Texture Paste on my Craft Sheet and then spread it through the Gradient Mask onto Rich Green Card. Once dry (approx 2 hours) I cut it into panels and matted onto Rich Red Card.
I cut a couple of leaves out of Coconut White Card using the Couture Creations Holly Branch Die. I made a flower by cutting a couple of dies from Sue Wilson's Classic Poinsettia Die Set. Whilst the card was still in the dies I 'pounced' some Crimson Kiss Colour Cloud though them using a Smoothie. I repeated the process so that I had 2 of 2 sizes and then shaped them into a flower.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White 5mm Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
I have had some requests for some mixed card packs. I'm sure you can appreciate that time is not in abundance for me at the moment but I have put together a pack of Christmas colours to start with - 5 sheets each of Vintage Gold, Scarlet, Ruby, Rich Green and Emerald Card. You can find it on my website here. I've also started a Pre-loved section which will be contantly added to as I get time. You can have a look at what's in there so far here.
Phill Martin is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening starting at 8pm and then continuing tomorrow at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you can tune in.
Don't forget to pop by later to see if you've won the card from Freebie Friday last week.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Julia, oh wow, stunning card! Love the textures of the poinsettia EF along with the shiny effect of the Holly Green and the Berry Red texture paste. Love the Poinsettia flower die and the fact that you 'pounced' on it with some Crimson Cloud! It made me imagine a kitten sneaking up on a toy and jumping on it! lol! Gorgeous card x "Thank you Julia" xx Love Karen xx
ReplyDeleteFascinated by your mixing the texture pastes, really must try that. The flower is beautiful, why didn't I think about that? Answer: I don't have any imagination, I really on you to give me the inspiration.
