Hi Bloggers.
Kathryn has started blogging pics from our holiday in Crete. You'll find her first post here. Follow her blog to catch all of her posts from our holiday.
Just as a heads up - Vintage Gold Card is now in stock on my website here and also the lovely Two Tone Red Ribbon that John Lockwood uses (and I've used on this card) is back in stock here. Lots more goodies also available and, as always, click on the links within the text in this post to go straight to the product pages on my website.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I cut the inner die only from Sue Wilson's Poinsettia Mini Striplet Die Set out of Milk Card 4 times. I matted it onto a piece of Rich Red Card and added some 3mm Cream Pearls to the centre of the poinsettias.
I stamped the senitment from the Creative Expressions Peace on Earth Clear Stamp Set onto Milk Card using Vermillion Archival. I cut it out using one of the dies from Sue's Pierced Flags Die Set and cut a larger die out of Rich Red Card.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Red Solid Two Tone Ribbon. I cut one of the dies from Sue's Classic Poinsettia Die Set out of Rich Red Card twice and the same sized die from Sue's Classic Poinsettia - Open Petals Die Set twice. I glued them together using Cosmic Shimmer Dies Clear Glue, shaped them a little and added some 3mm Cream Pearls.
I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler
Thanks for stopping by.

Poinsettias are Christmas aren't they? Love your card Julia, that ribbon looks lush and is just perfect for Christmas cards. Pat x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING card today, poinsettias are my favourite Christmas dies and I always tend to use traditional colours, red, gold and green. Having said that I do love some of the blue colours especially when used with anything to do with snow and frost.
