Christmas Blessings

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your emails to the show yesterday. Sorry that there was no 2pm show - out of our control. Lovely to see so many of you taking part in the blog hop. It's running till Tuesday afternoon so there's still time to take part. The start point is here.

I'll post some Christmas cards for a few days and then mix it up with some cards from last Sunday's Toolshed. I've popped my samples from yesterday's shows on Facebook here. The only one that's not on there is the one on the Blog Hop.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Poinsettia Lullaby Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I popped a little Gold Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint onto my Craft Sheet. I picked some up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and rubbed over the embossed surface.

I stamped the bottom panel from the Joy to the World Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out around the outer frame.

I cut a couple of the Spellbinders Adorning Squares Dies out of Vintage Gold Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expessions Winter Greetings Stamp Set. again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two Die. I cut the die again out of Vintage Gold Card, which I then cut in half lengthways and glued it behind the sentiment panel offsetting it slightly.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Sparkle PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  2. Hi Julia, First just have to say how much I enjoyed the blog hop yesterday , I was at work all day but did it last night and was so impressed with all the different ideas , all the designers are so creative, then I caught up with your first show on Create and craft, it was great, you and Nigel work together so well, I really enjoyed watching your techniques, tried to find your second show and although it was late was so disappointed it had been cancelled, never mind, more to come I hope! Lovely card today again, thanks for all the tips, now have to go to work:( Take care, Linda.

Soft gold, and muted colours, with a wonderful scene and sentiment. Such a shame your 2pm show was cancelled. Have a good weekend. Love and hugs. Hilary xxxx

You were missed, I couldn't understand where your programme was when I came to watch last night, so bad when you have worked so hard getting the cards ready., but what I saw in the first programme were all stunning. You and Sue need a three hour show like Clarity.

  23. Loved the show yesterday morning - it is so nice to listen to you and Nigel chatting away while you craft. It's a shame they cut the second show, and must be disappointing when you've done all of the prep.

Thanks for putting all the pictures on Facebook as it's very handy as a kick-start when inspiration deserts me!

  25. Good afternoon Julia,
I like the card that you have done for us today as it is soft in colour with the softness of the vintage gold card and the coconut white being softened by a wee bit of blending in at the edges. A lovely Christmas card but not right in your face Christmas. Hope you had a good day on C&C,
    love and crafty hugs
