You are my sunshine

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I cut a frame out of Coconut White Card using 2 dies from the Spellbinders Grand Squares Die Set. With the stamp in my hand, I stamped around the frame using the Justrite Iron Swirls Background and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Sunshade Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Everyday Expressions Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Lilac Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Couture Creations Royal Oval Die. I inked around the edges of the sentiment panel using Dusty Concord. I set the outer frame aside for another project and cut the frame again out of Mauve Card. I set this around the sentiment panel. I cut a Couture Creations Ornate Rectange out of Mauve Card and set the outer frame behind the oval frame.

I cut a Couture Creations Lacy 8 Die out of Mauve Card. I used just the outside frame and added it to the background.

I cut 2 Couture Creations Wedding Rose - one out of Coconut White Card and one out of Mauve Card. I inked around the edges of the White one with Dusty Concord. I added a piece of White Tulle and a Small Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding a few 5mm White Pearls and some dots of Pastel Lilac PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  21. Hi Julia

Dusty concord and Iron Swirls- a winning combination any time! I love the random stamped background.

This is a really pretty card. I wonder whether it'd work using golden yellow and orange colours- for sunshine colours!

    Crafty hugs,

    T x
