Love and workshop details

Hi Bloggers.

I hope you enjoyed the Toolshed yesterday. I know I did and I was amazed to actually get all 5 demos completed! Hopefully, you found a little inspiration here and there. There were certainly some really beautiful stamps from Justrite.

Here's a simple little card from yesterday's show -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Eternity Embossing Folder.

I stamped the rose from the Justrite Hope & Love Vintage Labels 8 & 9 Clear Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from Sue's Saltzburg Die Set. I cut the 2 largest dies from the Saltzburg Set out of another piece of Coconut White Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in Sue's Auvergne Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown, adding a couple of White Mini Pearl Swirls, some 8mm White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl PVA around the edges.

For those of you that haven't visited Sue Wilson's Blog today, you should be interested to know that all this week she's previewing her Release 3 Dies with free dies all over the place!

So, now I can finally share the photos of the projects for the workshops at CE HQ in Kettering on November 25th featuring some of Sue's Release 3 Dies. All the workshops are 1 1/2 hours long. If you're interested please contact Tracey on 01536 481778 during office hours. You'll need to be quick though as over half the places have gone before the projects are even revealed!

Workshop 1 - 10am till 11.30am

Workshop 2 - 12noon till 1.30pm

Workshop 3 - 2.30pm till 4pm

With all the projects there are lots of variations with dies and stamps that we'll use - I doubt if anyone will make the same card! Workshop 2 uses Gilding Flakes and I think that most of the colours in the range will be out to use so lots of variation there too! It promises to be a real fun day!

So far, everyone that has booked is staying the whole day. If you're doing that or doing just workshops 2 & 3, please bring some lunch or you can wander down to Greggs which is very close by.

I have more shows on Create & Craft tomorrow - I'll share a card from them in the morning.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  14. Hi Julia, this card is beautiful, have not completed watching the recorded show yet, so hopefully some time today will get the chance, and yet more inspiration tomorrow. We are being spoilt. The new dies look awesome, as do the projects for the workshops. Maybe next year my merry go round will slow down so I can attend some. Take care. Bx

  20. I am glad you enjoyed the show with Dean yesterday and what a happy face at completing all 5 demos! The cards for 25th November all look brilliant, wish I could come, but it is my brother's 50th birthday that day and my SIL is doing something special, all family to attend. I am sure there will be other days in the future - will keep an eye out for them.

  21. Hi Julia, thank you for a very entertaining Tool Shed yesterday, but I was so disappointed that I couldn't buy the sympathy stamps on their own. I will just have to look round for them.
I would love to attend your classes just too much driving for me.
