Dance the night away

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

The background on this was a bit of an experiment. With the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Vintage Sheet Music Background all over a piece of Coconut White Card using Perfect Medium. I couldn't see where I had stamped so I had to guess. I added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Powder and heat set. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Checkerboard PinPoint Embossing Folder. I rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax over the embossed surface and left to dry for a few minutes. Once dry, I buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I stamped the Top Hat & Tails Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 8. I cut a Spellbinders Diamond Effects out of Vintage Silver Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Step by Step Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Diamond Effects Die Set. I cut a Spellbinders Pearl Effects Die out of Vintage Silver Card.

I cut a border out of Vintage Silver Card using Sue's Mosaic 3d Bow Die Set. I pressed a Metal Dazzler Setting into Perfect Medium, added Silver Shine Detail Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set. I added a Vintage Silver Button to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Small Circle Dazzlers to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Silver Sparkle PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  14. Hi Julia
I think your experiment worked. Love it.
I had to laugh when Phill acknowledged you regarding the small black dazzles "sorry Julia!".
Right back to my next Tango card - I'm experimenting too - with some texture paste as the background! Wondering if I can emboss over it.
Think I'll give a small piece a trial.
    Bye for now.

  15. Have you worn out your Checkerboard PinPoint Embossing Folder yet? Liked the comment about 'not seeing where you had stamped' - good example of stamping not having to be perfect. Keep on Dancing!
