Hi Bloggers.
Wow! What a busy few days! I had a lovely day at Hochanda. So good to work with Lee again. It was also good to meet some of the other presenters on the channel. Thank you so much for your messages and emails. I'm so glad that you loved the new products from Couture Creations - there are some beauties, aren't there. No rest (what is that?) today as I'm off to Creative Expressions HQ today for a meeting and then tomorrow John Lockwood & I are heading down to Taunton for a weekend of workshops and demos at Craftasmic (all sold out - sorry but I will be demoing in the shop all day on Saturday so feel free to pop in if you're in the area). I've got to try and find time to do my post and get some washing done before I set off for my meeting this morning - wish me luck!
Here's today's card - the final demo from the Hochanda Shows :
My much loved Mica & Ice technique. I've cut the
Couture Creations Vierge Square out of
Coconut White Card. This die has no outside cutting edge so you can trim your outside edge to whatever width you like.
On the front of the die cut, I popped a piece of
Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet. On the back, I added
Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Chic Aubergine Mica Powder spreading it all over the sticky areas with a
Soft Dusting Brush.
I removed as much of the excess Mica Powder as possible and then sealed
the whole area with a piece of copy paper. I turned the piece over,
removed the other backing sheet from the adhesive and added
Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow all over. I trimmed the piece to size by running it through the Grand Calibur with a die from the
Spellbinders 6 x 6 matting Basics A Die Set.
I cut the largest die from the
Couture Creations Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with
Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud Blending Ink using a
Smoothie. I also inked the piece that popped out of the middle.
I stamped the sentiment from the
Creative Expressions Fabuous Sentiments Clear Stamp Set using
Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using another die from the Scrolled Tomentosa Die Set and inked through the die with Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud.
I assembled the card as shown adding some
5mm White Pearls and piercing around the edges using my
Tim Holtz Ruler,
Precision Probe and
Piercing Mat.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
